Small molecule-mediated activation of Notch signal transduction
Abstract The Notch signaling pathway is pivotal in regulating cell differentiation, stem cell maintenance and oncogenesis. While several Notch inhibitors have been developed, effective small molecule activators are scarce. Here, we identify a small molecule that robustly activates Notch signaling, leading to significant upregulation of Notch target genes in several human cell lines and in Danio rerio embryos.

Despite extensive research on the pathomechanisms of fibrogenesis, little is known about the mechanisms of fibrosis resolution. Here, lineage tracing of alveolar fibroblasts was carried out during fibrosis development and delayed resolution in aged mice.
