Updated plans approved for Honda dealership in Zionsville

Tom Wood Automotive will move ahead with a Honda dealership on Crane Drive near I-65 and Whitestown Parkway after revised documents were approved Dec. 15 by the Zionsville Plan Commission. Plans to construct a Honda dealership on 9.8 acres just north of Tom Wood Toyota in Zionsville were presented to the commission last month, but members asked for facade updates to line up with requirements of the town’s I-65 overlay district.

The Town of Zionsville is preparing to begin a $10 million project to revamp the entrance into its historic downtown. And it wants the public to weigh in. The town held the first of two public meetings last month on the downtown road and pedestrian improvement project, with a second planned for Jan. 13. Zionsville Mayor John Stehr said a revamp of Village streets has been a discussion item for town officials for years. He said Zionsville’s Village road network just isn’t working anymore.
