We don’t have the details but in Asheville a friend of one of one of my friends was picked up and sent to Atlanta. Wake up before it’s too late

To the Editor: I made granola today. I know that doesn’t sound like news, or even worth a letter to the editor. But it’s pretty significant for me because my anxiety has been so high, that I haven’t been able to do the everyday things I should be doing — like making the granola I’ve been out of for the last two weeks. The anxiety comes from watching the dismantling of our Constitution and with it the dismantling of America.

Evolution of a low convergence collisional orogen: a review of Pyrenean orogenesis

A preexisting rift is essential for the development of a doubly vergent orogen. Thermal, rheological and structural rift inheritance impacts all aspects of orogen evolution, particularly during early orogenesis. During early convergence, plate forces were distributed across the near and far field causing inversion of rift structures and depocentres across Europe as stress was transmitted across a sufficiently strong plate boundary.
