‘I Know What Good Local Leadership Looks Like’
To the Editor: I am supporting Jane Wisialowski for State Representative because I know what good local leadership looks like, and I believe Jane has the experience to represent our community well. I served on the Old Saybrook Board of Selectmen from 2019 to 2025. That experience taught me that local government is rarely simple. Decisions involve competing priorities, limited resources and people with strongly held views.

NBA teams with most consecutive games at 100-plus points
Scoring 100 points is the sign of a strong NBA offense. No team knows this better than the Denver Nuggets, who scored 100-plus points in 136 games from January 1981 to December 1982. In January 2026, the Minnesota Timberwolves scored 100 points in their 99th consecutive game. They sit in third place, trailing only the Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs, for the most consecutive games scoring 100-plus points in NBA history.
Which NBA team has the most points per game in a season?
ByMatt Pugliese Wednesday, January 14, 2026 11:52PM The 2025-26 NBA season is bringing high-powered offense. The league average for points per game has been over 110 for the past eight seasons. Even with their All-Star center Nikola Jokic out for part of the year with an injury, the Denver Nuggets' offensehas been on a tear this season. The Nuggets are on pace to be in the top 10 in most PPG in a season in NBA history, which is championed by the 1981-82 Nuggets and Hall of Famer Alex English.

An Excellent Choice
I am writing to support Jane Wisialowski for State Representative for the 23rd House District. I first met Jane in 2018 when I was running for State Representative. Jane joined me as a volunteer and walked a lot of streets and knocked on many doors. I remember that one of her big motivations to get involved was her belief in protecting women’s access to and individual choice for reproductive rights. Jane is stepping forward again because of the risks posed to these individual personal rights.

Did you know South Carolina far outpaces Georgia (aka “The Peach State”) in production three to one in a typical year? Get ready for this season’s bounty with a bushel of recipes, a list of nearby farm stands and markets to buy the juicy gems, and an update on a local heirloom variety that may be making a comeback A Cling of the Past?
