WASHINGTON, D.C. (WAFF) - A bipartisan Senate bill called the “Protect College Sports Act” aims to address the future of collegiate athletics, including name, image and likeness, the transfer portal and revenue sharing. Many in and around college sports testified in favor of the legislation, including players, administrators and legendary former Alabama coach Nick Saban. Name, image and likeness has been legal in the U.S. for almost five years.
