SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The family of the victims of the deadly Kemp Lane fire that happened in Shreveport in April of 2025 has filed a lawsuit against the fire department and the city. The suit, filed March 6 by Artilious Saxton and Cleveland Saxton, the sons of one of the victims, says on April 6, 2025, when the deadly fire happened, Mildred Carter-Rawls, the mother of the plaintiffs, was with her young granddaughters at her home in the 2400 block of Kemp Lane when the house caught fire.

Stacy Hall has been in Kuwait for a year, where she is currently teaching fourth grade. She recorded video from her apartment as alarms sounded during air attacks originating from Iran.
