Brittney Hazelton was born and raised in Shreveport, La. They're a professional, self-taught local artist and are now one of KSLA’s digital content producers and podcast host of ArkLaTex Artistry.

They were named a juried roster artist by Shreveport Regional Arts Council in 2015 and then joined the local artist group, Lab Rat Arts. Soul artist CUZNJED, from Shreveport, Louisiana, has won the AMG/Southern Soul Life award for Best Upcoming Artist of the Year. Shreveport-born soulful musician CUZNJED has won an AMG/ Southern Soul Life award. CUZNJED has made the top 10 in Southern Soul Charts and has been circulated on the radio and in clubs.

Alleged suspect shot, killed following vehicle burglary incident

TEXARKANA, Texas (KSLA) - Texarkana police say a person was fatally shot by a homeowner while allegedly attempting to break into a car. On Dec. 31, around 4:20 a.m., the Texarkana Texas Police Department (TTPD) responded to a shooting incident on North Park Road. TTPD says a homeowner confronted two people who were allegedly attempting to break into a vehicle. During the encounter, one of the suspects was shot and later died at the hospital.

SEVIER COUNTY, Ark. (KSLA) - U.S. 59 north of Lockesburg is closed due to an accident. On Dec. 31, in the morning, U.S. 59 is closed in both directions due to an accident north of Lockesburg in Sevier County, Ark. The closure goes from U.S. 71 to Elm Drive.
