BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO/Gray News) - This year marks 22 years for a restaurant owner in Kentucky preparing Thanksgiving dinner for those in her community. Laura Jacobs, the owner of Laura’s Stockyard Café, has spent about 36 hours in the kitchen every Thanksgiving since 2001 making holiday meals for community members to pick up ahead of time. “I just love cooking. My mama taught me how to cook, so I just love cooking for people,” Jacobs said.

NEW YORK (AP) — A former Penthouse magazine model sued Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose on Wednesday, saying he raped her in a 1989 attack at a New York City hotel that left her with anxiety and depression and harmed her career. Sheila Kennedy, 61, filed the lawsuit in State Supreme Court in Manhattan, seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages for physical injury, pain and suffering, severe emotional distress, mental anguish, humiliation, embarrassment, anxiety and economic harm.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - The children of Muldoon Elementary School cheered at the top of their lungs while waving down an Alaska Army National Guard LUH-72 Lakota earlier this month. The helicopter landed in the field behind the school playground in partnership with state and local agencies as part of an annual anti-drug campaign known as Red Ribbon Week. The school was one of a handful of campuses between the Matanuska-Susitna Borough and Anchorage to host the event in this capacity.
