ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Multiple vehicle crashes caused a backup along the Seward Highway Wednesday night, including one crash involving a camper and another vehicle that caught fire and spread to nearby grass. The Girdwood Fire Department wrote on social media that it responded to a camper-versus-vehicle crash at Mile 75, a few miles past the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center near the Kenai welcome sign.

Suspect, police dog both shot during midtown officer-involved shooting

Kristen Durand, Josiah Pike ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - The Anchorage Police Department are investigating an officer-involved shooting near 34th Avenue and Bering Street Wednesday morning which left the suspect and a K9 officer wounded. At around 3:25 a.m. Wednesday, a person had a car stolen from them at the Circle K at Minnesota Drive and Spenard Road, according to Anchorage Police Chief Sean Case, who provided details at a press conference Wednesday.
