ANCHORAGE, AK (Alaska’s News Source) - Spring in Alaska can bring a wide variety of weather conditions, but this year has been one of the coldest Anchorage has ever experienced. Since March 1st, there have only been eight days with high temperatures at or slightly above average. The rest of the days have not only been below normal, but many days have been 10 to 20 degrees below seasonal norms.

This week, a group of video production students got an up-close tour of how it all comes together. The visitors were from Clare’s video production class at Steller Secondary School in Anchorage.

ANCHORAGE, AK (Alaska’s News Source) - Unsettled weather is making its mark across Alaska, with wet and cloudy conditions expected to stick around for much of this week. The state is already dealing with the aftermath of record-breaking rainfall that set a new benchmark for May 4th. Anchorage has already recorded over 0.4 inches of rain today, surpassing the previous record of just over 0.3 inches that had stood since 2013. This marks the second record rainfall event in less than a week.
