According to authorities, Lauderhill Police and Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the scene of a fire in the area of 3411 W Sunrise Boulevard, just after 6 p.m., Friday. Officials say the fire started after a 23-year-old driver was reportedly cut off by another driver, leading to him slamming into a concrete pole in an attempt to swerve out of the way. The force of the impact caused the power line to tip over.
American Airlines flight crew restrained passenger with duct tape after racist tirade
(WSVN) - A flight crew had to think outside the box, using duct tape to subdue a problematic passenger mid-flight. The American Airlines flight was heading toward Newark, NJ, after taking off from Dallas, TX, when a passenger started screaming racist profanities and refused to cooperate with onboard attendants. The flight attendant crew decided to use duct tape to restrain the man to his seat and tie his hands together to keep him from causing further incidents.
Influencer Jack Doherty arrested for second time, charged with domestic battery
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - A social media influencer is behind bars again. Jack Doherty was booked into Broward County jail and charged with domestic battery. According to Fort Lauderdale Police, he got into an argument with a woman and things turned physical. It isn’t his first run-in with the law. Last November, he was arrested by Miami Beach Police for a drug possession and resisting arrest charge.
