Man hospitalized after stabbing in parking lot of Fort Lauderdale Publix

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Rescue crews took a man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed in the parking lot of a Publix supermarket in Fort Lauderdale, police said. Fort Lauderdale Police units responded to the scene of the incident outside the Publix located at 1904 Cordova Road, just before 8:15 p.m., Wednesday. Responding officers arrived to find the injured victim in the parking lot. “He was just bleeding. He was just bleeding all over the place,” said a witness.

Good Samaritans rescue orphaned manatee calf off Key Largo

KEY LARGO, FLA. (WSVN) - Danger, an orphaned manatee calf, is headed to Orlando for rehabilitation after being rescued by Good Samaritans in the Florida Keys. A Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission Officer poured water on an orphaned manatee calf after it was rescued from Largo Sound in Key Largo on Tuesday. Two good Samaritans, Alex and Shannon Constantinides were on a trip to the flats off Key Largo that morning to target smaller backcountry fish.

Dashcam video shows suspected DUI driver going against traffic, narrowly missing Tampa Police officer

TAMPA, FLA. (WSVN) - A driver accused of being three times over the legal alcohol limit found herself behind bars after a close call with a Tampa Police officer that was caught on video. The woman is accused of driving the wrong way when she nearly struck the officer. Dash camera footage captured the officer alerting officials that he saw the woman driving against traffic. “Wrong-way driver,” said the officer.
