June 24th, 2023 at 11:10am CST by Ben Levine After fumbling his way out of a job in Denver, veteran Melvin Gordon spent the rest of the 2022 campaign on the Chiefs practice squad. This was obviously a humbling step backwards for the former Pro Bowler, but the practice squad gig hasn’t left him discouraged about his future NFL opportunities. During an appearance on The Jim Rome Show, Gordon said he’s staying ready for his next job while also acknowledging the plight of today’s running backs.

Fantasy Football 2020: Top 30 NFL Running Backs To Target In Your Draft
It’s the most important position in fantasy football: running back. While some teams employ a committee of capable backs, spreading out carries and scattering the workload, there are certainly others who rely more heavily on one player to lead the ground game. Fantasy football owners should be looking to draft the latter in the early rounds while filling out depth with those who could make an impact in perhaps more of a smaller sample size.

The Iso: Melvin Gordon
The Players’ Tribune is introducing a new series called The Iso. With so many of us keeping our distance from each other in a variety of ways, we decided to ask some of our favorite athletes to share how they’ve been dealing with life in the Covid-19 world, and how they’re spending their time away from their sport. That last game vs. the Chiefs was probably the last time I’ll ever suit up as a Charger. I ran out of the tunnel, like always, and I lined up next to Phil, like always.

The 7 Best Players in the AFC West. Period.
efore I get to my rankings, a couple of things — call them asterisks, call them whatever. First, I didn’t put any quarterbacks on here. They already get all the love, and my man Phil Rivers is a future Hall of Famer. I don’t need to explain that. You know what it is. Second, I only picked three Chargers. I definitely could have picked more. Now of course I’m biased, but, honestly, I think that this year we have the most talented roster we’ve had since I’ve been here.
My Yahoo Fantasy Football Draft Grade & Recap
Whatever the plan going into the draft, it surely didn't involve putting together such a weak group of stars, as Mr. Funny Man's Team put together a back-loaded squad. Collectively, the top players from each position are slated to score the 3rd-lowest point total in the league. Fortunately, the rest of the roster is expected to do the heavy lifting and combine for a point total ranking 3rd. Did you lose a bet?
Having a Bad Day? Melvin Gordon Shows You How to Be Grateful Anyway - Rally Health
Even for me, as an NFL player, it can sometimes be tempting to forget how good I have it. If I have a bad game — I’m stopped inches short of the end zone, I drop a pass, or I fumble — I can get frustrated and upset with myself. In these moments, it seems like nothing’s going my way. I’m probably not thinking about the most simple blessings in my life — like my friends and family, the people who cheer for me whether I play well or not. My health, and athleticism. The roof over my head.
