Examining the Feasibility of an App-based Sleep Intervention for Shiftworkers Using the RE-AIM Framework

ABSTRACT Objectives This study assessed the feasibility of Sleepfit, an app-based sleep intervention for shiftworkers, to evaluate participant reach, engagement, and interaction. Methods The RE-AIM framework guided the feasibility assessment. Participants from various shiftwork industries (e.g. healthcare, mining) completed a 14-day trial of the Sleepfit app, alongside baseline and post-intervention surveys.

This systematic review of 22 RCTs is the first to synthesize evidence on the efficacy, impact, and economic evaluation of health behaviour interventions to improve both health behaviour and mental health outcomes among students in the university setting. Only one third (n = 7) of studies were effective in improving both health behaviour and mental health outcomes, with most (n = 4) focused on improving sleep behaviours.
