Neuronal feedback loop of the suprachiasmatic nucleus generates robust circadian rhythms - Nature Communications
Abstract The central circadian clock of the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) comprises a network of diverse neuronal and glial cell types, yet its operating mechanism remains elusive. Here, by monitoring cellular calcium rhythms in vivo using dual-color fiber photometry in mice lacking vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP), we demonstrate that arginine vasopressin (AVP) neurons oscillate intrinsically with a short period and reduced amplitude.

Bimetallic [Co/K] hydrogen evolution catalyst for electrochemical terminal C-H functionalization - Nature Communications
Abstract Discovering novel catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) holds the potential to revolutionize the energy chemistry and unlock new tool for synthetic processes. Inspired by hydrogenases, we pair alkali metals with cobalt-Salen catalysts which allow the integration of naked base site into bimetallic HER catalysts. The incorporation of alkali metals (Na, K, Rb, Cs) significantly enhances HER activity.

A reconfigurable arbitrary retarder array as complex structured matter - Nature Communications
Abstract Tuneable retarder arrays, such as spatially patterned liquid crystal devices, have given rise to impressive photonic functionality, fuelling diverse applications ranging from microscopy and holography to encryption and communications. Presently these solutions are limited by the controllable degrees of freedom of structured matter, hindering applications that demand photonic systems with high flexibility and reconfigurable topologies.

Industrial Implementation of Digital Twin in the Tissue Paper Converting System
1. Introduction Household paper is an essential daily necessity in modern family life, primarily used for various cleaning purposes [1]. As a fundamental consumer product, household paper offers softness, absorbency, and convenience, meeting consumers’ needs for hygiene and comfort [2].
360° display of 3D objects by cylindrical holography
Cylindrical computer-generated holography (CCGH) has garnered significant attention due to its ability to offer a 360° viewing zone. However, generating a CCGH capable of reconstructing multiple realistic three-dimensional (3D) objects is still a challenge under the constraints of limited computational resources.
Quality improvement of unfiltered holography by optimizing high diffraction orders with fill factor
Computer-generated holography (CGH) suffers from high diffraction orders (HDOs) due to the pixelated nature of spatial light modulators (SLMs), typically requiring bulky optical filtering systems. To address this issue, a novel unfiltered holography approach known as the high-order gradient descent (HOGD) algorithm was previously introduced to optimize HDOs without optical filtering, enabling compact holographic displays.
Low cross-talk optical addressing of trapped-ion qubits using a novel integrated photonic chip - Light: Science & Applications
Abstract Individual optical addressing in chains of trapped atomic ions requires the generation of many small, closely spaced beams with low cross-talk. Furthermore, implementing parallel operations necessitates phase, frequency, and amplitude control of each individual beam. Here, we present a scalable method for achieving all of these capabilities using a high-performance integrated photonic chip coupled to a network of optical fibre components.

A Study on SaaS ERP Continuous Use Intention of Fresh Food Distribution SME
1. Introduction With the fast maturity of information technologies and the acceleration of digital transformation of enterprises, the cloud computing industry has ushered in a rapid development stage. The software as a service (SaaS) market is 53.8 billion yuan in 2020, with a year-on-year growth of 48.7%. Moreover, it is expected that the market will continue to expand at a compound growth rate of 34% in the next three years1.
Braiding photonic topological zero modes
Abstract A remarkable property of quantum mechanics in two-dimensional space is its ability to support ‘anyons’, particles that are neither fermions nor bosons. Theory predicts that these exotic excitations can exist as bound states confined near topological defects, such as Majorana zero modes trapped in vortices in topological superconductors.
Multiplexable intrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometric fiber sensors for multipoint hydrogen gas monitoring
Abstract This Letter presents an approach to produce multiplexable optical fiber chemical sensor using an intrinsic Fabry–Perot interferometer (IFPI) array via the femtosecond laser direct writing technique. Using the hydrogen-sensitive palladium (Pd) alloy as a functional sensory material, Pd alloy coated IFPI devices can reproducibly and reversibly measure hydrogen concentrations with a detection limit of 0.25% at room temperature.
Experimental realization of a Weyl exceptional ring
Abstract Weyl points are isolated degeneracies in reciprocal space that are monopoles of the Berry curvature. This topological charge makes them inherently robust to Hermitian perturbations of the system.
