ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – News 8 is learning more about the major expansion planned for the Seneca Park Zoo. The plans were outlined in Thursday’s State of the County Address by Monroe County Executive Adam Bello. The $100 million project is largely supported with funds from Monroe County and New York State. The zoo plans to add a tropics exhibit and main entry building, which zoo director Bob Lee said is the first thing visitors will see walking in.

UR Medicine marks 400 heart transplants in 25 years Original

(WROC) – UR Medicine has conducted 400 heart transplants since the life-saving procedures began there in 2001. 48-year-old Shane Pitts is just two weeks removed from receiving his own new heart. “I’m very thankful to be here 14 days later,” he said.
