Longitudinal associations between adherence to 24-h movement guidelines and physical fitness and body composition in pediatric overweight and obesity
Abstract This study investigated the longitudinal associations between adherence to the 24-h Movement Guidelines (24-HMG), specifically, meeting the recommendations for moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) (≥ 60 min/day), recreational screen time (≤ 2 h/day), and sleep (9–11 h/night), and one-year changes in physical fitness and body composition among overweight and obese children.
Polyfluorophenyl quinoxaline derived acceptors with long exciton diffusion length for efficient thin-film/thick-film organic solar cells
Abstract Designing small-molecule acceptors (SMAs) with long exciton diffusion length (LD) and high electron mobility is vital for boosting power conversion efficiency (PCE) of organic solar cells (OSCs). However, the limited LD of most advanced SMAs hinders their practical applications in thick-film OSCs. Herein, we develop four SMAs (named Yq-0F, Yq-2F, Yq-4F, and Yq-6F) with fluorine-free/fluorinated phenyl-substituted quinoxaline cores by manipulating the number of fluorine atom.

A novel peptide oyster-derived antimicrobial peptide against clinical carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii
1 Introduction Marine invertebrates such as mollusks lack specific immunity and corresponding antibodies in their bodies, so innate immunity plays a dominant role in the immune system (Wang et al., 2018). Mollusk antimicrobial peptides, as an important component of the innate immune defense system, need to react quickly and promptly to invading marine microorganisms (Wang et al., 2018).
Progress and Challenges for Flexible Perovskite Solar Cell Stability
Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have become a research hotspot in the photovoltaic field due to their excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency (PCE), simple preparation process, and low-cost characteristics. Among them, flexible perovskite solar cells (FPSCs) possess unique advantages such as lightweight and wearability.
Incidentally Discovered Ovarian Cancer Combined With Obturator Nerve Schwannoma: A Rare Case Report
During cytoreduction for ovarian cancer, a stable, well-circumscribed pelvic sidewall mass on CT—especially along the obturator canal—may be neurogenic rather than nodal. When percutaneous access is unsafe and open surgery is planned, deferring biopsy and performing nerve-sparing enucleation can preserve adductor function with definitive diagnosis at pathology.

Full article: The combination of left ventricular ejection fraction and end-diastolic diameter and outcomes in peritoneal dialysis patients: a multicenter retrospective study
Abstract End-stage renal disease (ESRD) is often complicated by left ventricular dysfunction, which is associated with a poor prognosis. This study aims to investigate the association between baseline left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) plus left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD) with outcomes in peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients. In this multicenter retrospective study, 1,511 incident Chinese patients on PD between 1 January 2005 and 31 December 2021 were enrolled.
Correlation study of facial lipid profile differences and skin physiological characteristics in Chinese women aged 19-33 years
INTRODUCTION The stratum corneum (SC) lipids are a complex matrix that primarily consists of ceramides (Cer), cholesterol, cholesterol esters (CE) and free fatty acids. Additionally, there are minor components, including triglycerides (TG) and diglycerides (DG) [1]. SC lipids must maintain the skin barrier function, support skin structure and provide protection against external threats [2].

Association of blood urea nitrogen to glucose ratio with 365-day mortality in critically ill patients with chronic kidney disease: a retrospective study | Scientific Reports
Abstract Low blood glucose levels and high urea nitrogen levels affect patient prognosis, but few studies have investigated whether the blood urea nitrogen to glucose (BGR) ratio predicts the risk of death. This retrospective research examined the connection between the BGR and 365-day mortality in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages 1–4 admitted to an intensive care unit (ICU).

Two Birds with One Stone: Polymerized Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence Small Molecules
Thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) polymers show a great potential in low-cost, large-area and flexible full-color flat-panel displays. One of the most promising design rules is based on TADF + Linker, where a small molecular TADF unit is bonded to each other by a simple linker. Unlike the expensive vacuum deposition for small molecules, these polymerized TADF small molecules (Poly-TADF-SMs) are capable of cost-effective solution processing.

Impact of air injection on subretinal fluid following successful scleral buckling surgery for macular-involving retinal detachment
Abstract Air injection is an accessory technique during scleral buckling (SB). Subclinical subretinal fluid (SRF) may presence and persistent after SB. The impact of air injection on SRF is unclear. In the study, we retrospectively enrolled 51 patients with macular-involving RD who had undergone successful SB. They were categorized into Group A (SB without air injection) and Group B (SB with air injection).

The future in 3D
"I’d like an evening gown that fits me perfectly and reflects my active lifestyle, and it has to be on trend with this year’s Met Gala." "Definitely, our algorithms can design and print that up for you. Please step into the 3D scanner." This could be a conversation in the not-so-distant future, says Associate Professor Ning Su, talking about 3D printing technology, also referred to as additive manufacturing. The 3D printing process creates three dimensional solid objects from digital files.
