High-entropy enabled two-dimensional ferroelectricity and memristive synapses in van der Waals layered materials
Abstract Two-dimensional ferroelectric materials offer opportunities for ultrathin non-volatile electronics, but their development is limited by stringent structural requirements for intrinsic polarity. Here we show that high-entropy engineering can induce switchable polarization in centrosymmetric van der Waals materials.

Efimov effect in long-range quantum spin chains
Abstract When two non-relativistic particles interact resonantly in three dimensions, an infinite tower of three-body bound states emerges, exhibiting a discrete scale invariance. This universal phenomenon, known as the Efimov effect, has garnered extensive attention across various fields. However, it remains an open question how analogous universal few-body physics can emerge in low-dimensional quantum platforms.

Observability 2.0 and the Database for It
Observability 2.0 is a concept introduced by Charity Majors of Honeycomb, though she later expressed reservations about labeling it as such(follow-up). Despite its contested naming, Observability 2.0 represents an evolution from the foundational "three pillars" of observability, metrics, logs, and traces, which have dominated the field for nearly a decade. Instead, it emphasizes a single source of truth paradigm as a data foundation of observability.

How Flood Hazards in a Warming Climate Could Be Amplified by Changes in Spatiotemporal Patterns and Mechanisms of Water Available for Runoff
1 Introduction Standards guiding the design of civil engineering infrastructure, including stormwater management facilities and flood protection measures, traditionally rely on statistical analyses of historical precipitation events, particularly in terms of precipitation-based intensity-duration-frequency (PREC-IDF) curves (Chow et al., 1988), such as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Atlas 14 (Perica et al., 2013), along with a single-event rainfall-runoff model...
Characterizing How Meteorological Forcing Selection and Parameter Uncertainty Influence Community Land Model Version 5 Hydrological Applications in the United States
1 Introduction Land surface models (LSMs) are important for better understanding the complex interactions between the Earth's surface and atmosphere and how these interactions may change in response to various natural and human-induced factors (Niu et al., 2011; Overgaard et al., 2006). As an example of a LSM, the Community Land Model (CLM) is the land component of the Community Earth System Model (CESM) that is used in several global and regional modeling systems.
Enhancing Biomass Productivity by Forecast‐Informed Pond Operations
1 Introduction Microalgal cultivation has gained significant attention for its potential to produce biofuels and proteins (Wigmosta et al. 2011; Coleman et al. 2014; Goh et al. 2019; Ganesan et al. 2020). These photosynthetic microorganisms offer numerous advantages, including rapid growth rates, the ability to grow on non-arable land using non-potable water, and the capacity to sequester carbon dioxide while removing waste nutrients from water.
