As of 8 p.m., Georgia Power reported more than 29,000 customers were without power. Georgia’s EMCs report more than 81,000 outages, mostly in the north and metro Atlanta regions. The Suzaku observations have established 3C 397 as our best candidate for a near-M SNR Ia, and opened the way to address additional outstanding questions about the origin and explosion mechanism of these transients.

Abstract Aims The aim of this study was to identify risk factors for the failure of exchange nailing in nonunion of tibial diaphyseal fractures. Patients and Methods A cohort of 102 tibial diaphyseal nonunions in 101 patients with a mean age of 36.9 years (15 to 74) were treated between January 1992 and December 2012 by exchange nailing. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) exhibits genetic heterogeneity that is dominated by variation in eight sarcomeric genes. Here we used very large case and control cohorts to determine the extent to which variation in non-sarcomeric genes contributes to HCM.

Predicting dissatisfaction following total knee arthroplasty in patients under 55 years of age
The mean age of our cohort was 50 years (median 51, range 17 to 54) and 99 of 177 TKAs (56%) were performed in women. In total, patients were very satisfied with 87 of 177 TKAs (49%), satisfied with 46 (26%), uncertain with 30 (17%) and dissatisfied with 14 (8%). All patients with bilateral TKAs (n = 20) were very satisfied or satisfied with both knees.

Objectives To report on long-term trends in hospital admission rates for anorexia nervosa using two English datasets. Design We used data on hospital day-case and inpatient care across five decades in the Oxford Record Linkage Study (ORLS), and similar data for all England from 1990. We analysed rates of admission for anorexia nervosa in people aged 10–44 years, using hospital episodes (counting every admission) and first-recorded admissions (counting only the first record for each person).
