King's researchers explain how lipids can control the immune response
The new paper from Dr Phillip Brailey, Dr Lauren Evans & Dr Patricia Barral highlights how lipids change the behaviour of macrophages which influences the overall immune response against infections and inflammatory diseases. When we consume fats (also called lipids) in our diet, they can be metabolised or stored to provide energy for the body. But they are also involved in regulating the genes expressed within, and the signalling between, cells.

This mistake arose during figure preparation and was possible since both blots originated from a single experiment (resolved on common X-ray films), consistent with what is stated in the figure legend.
