Monolithic Te 1-x Se x -on-Si Photodiodes for Real-Time Short-Wave Infrared Trajectory Tracking
1 Introduction Position-sensitive photodetectors (PSDs) capable of precisely determining light spot coordinates are essential components of modern non-contact optical metrology and play a critical role in versatile applications such as industrial automation, autonomous driving, and scientific instrumentation. To date, both segmented and continuous device architectures have been employed for PSDs fabrication [1, 2].
Neural regulation of tumor immunity: emerging opportunities to enhance cancer immunotherapy
Abstract The nervous system is a key regulator of cancer immunity, influencing tumor development and treatment response through neuroimmune interactions. Both peripheral and central circuits transmit neural signals that directly influence immune cell recruitment, activation, and effector function within the tumor microenvironment.
Ego2Robot: Scalable Robot Data Synthesis from Egocentric Human Data
Published on Aug 3 · Submitted by Ye Wang on Aug 6 Abstract Learning generalizable robot manipulation policies requires large-scale and diverse demonstration data. Egocentric human manipulation videos offer rich scene and task diversity, and prior work has shown that retargeting and rendering such videos into robot-format data can yield effective per-task policies at small scale.

Starting out in real estate world!
Hello everyone! My name is Pei and I am interested in investing in real estate. I am still a senior in college and my dad wants me to invest in real estate. My dad has a lot of properties in Taiwan, so he wants to sell some and invest in California. He wants me to look into properties in Southern California, LA and OC area, and look for rental property. So my strategy is this: I would buy foreclosure homes, buy them at auctions so I can get a good deal. Then turn those properties into rental units.

Vertical integrated PtSe2/4H-SiC vdW heterojunction for ultra-sensitive UV imaging and flame detection
High-performance ultraviolet (UV) photodetectors are critically needed for a wide range of applications. However, simultaneously achieving high sensitivity and fast response speed remains a significant challenge. In this work, we demonstrate the fabrication of a vertical PtSe2/4H-SiC van der Waals heterostructure (vdWH) photodiode with an ultrathin AlOx interfacial passivation layer for UV detection.
Mitochondrial Regulation of CD8⁺ T Cells: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Modulation
1 Introduction CD8+ T cells are critical mediators of immune responses, playing a pivotal role in the defense against infections, the surveillance of tumorigenesis, and the regulation of autoimmune diseases.[1, 2] These cytotoxic lymphocytes exert their functions through the recognition and elimination of infected or malignant cells, primarily by inducing apoptosis via the release of cytotoxic molecules such as perforin and granzymes[3] The effectiveness of CD8+ T cells in these processes is...

Plasma Cell Myeloma With Ras/Braf Mutations Is Frequently Associated With a Complex Karyotype, Advanced Stage Disease, and Poorer Prognosis
BACKGROUND: Mutations in the RAS-MAPK pathway, such as KRAS, NRAS, and BRAF, are known as high-risk factors associated with poor prognosis in patients with various cancers, but studies in myeloma have yielded mixed results. METHODS: We describe the clinicopathologic, cytogenetic, molecular features, and outcomes of 68 patients with RAS/BRAF-mutated myeloma, and compare with 79 patients without any mutations.
Post‐Translational Modifications of RNA‐Modifying Proteins in Cellular Dynamics and Disease Progression
1 Introduction RNA modifications act as a sophisticated regulatory mechanism that influences gene expression at the post-transcriptional level. Key players in this process are RNA-modifying proteins, which function as “writers,” “erasers,” and “readers”—adding, removing, or interpreting chemical groups on RNA to control its functionality, stability, and interactions with other molecules.
Highly sensitive full solar-blind ultraviolet spectrum detection and imaging based on PdSe2/Ga2O3 vdW heterojunction
Solar-blind ultraviolet (UV) photodetectors are in great demand for both military and civilian applications. Here, we have successfully demonstrated the synthesis of the Sn-doped Ga2O3 films with controllable bandgaps to construct PdSe2/Ga2O3 van der Waals (vdW) heterojunctions achieving highly sensitive full solar-blind UV spectrum detection.
Gustatory receptor 11 is involved in detecting the oviposition water of Asian tiger mosquito, Aedes albopictus - Parasites & Vectors
The Foshan strain of Ae. albopictus, a gift from the Guangdong Center for Disease Control and Prevention, was routinely reared in the laboratory at a temperature of 27 °C ± 1 °C, relative humidity of 65% ± 10% under a 14-h light/ 10-h darkness cycle. Drawing on the previous methods used in Drosophila [21] and Ae. aegypti [10], glue (Kraft Shadowless Glue, K-303) was applied to the tibial and tarsal segments of mosquito legs by using a brush (0000# Hook and Loop, Xie De Tang, Beijing).

Plasma cell myeloma with RAS/BRAF mutations is frequently associated with a complex karyotype, advanced stage disease, and poorer prognosis
Case selection We searched the database of our institution from November 1, 2014 to December 31, 2020 for cases of myeloma that underwent NGS-based mutation profiling. The study group included patients who only had mutations in KRAS, NRAS or BRAF, without any other concurrent mutations to avoid confounding factors. A group of age, gender, and stage-matched patients from the same study period with wild type tumors were selected as control.

Epithelial polarization in the 3D matrix requires MST3 signaling to regulate ZO-1 position
Loading metrics Open Access Peer-reviewed Research Article Abstract Apical-basal cell polarity must be tightly controlled for epithelial cyst and tubule formation, and these are important functional units in various epithelial organs. Polarization is achieved through the coordination of several molecules that divide cells into an apical domain and a basolateral domain, which are separated from tight and adherens junctions.

What Vaccines Do Myeloma Patients Need?
Published on March 18, 2020 Key Takeaways The zoster vaccine (Shingrix) has been shown to be highly safe and effective. It’s recommended for all adults over 50, not just myeloma patients. Dr. Vogl advises patients to be on anti-shingles medications like acyclovir or valacyclovir while on any proteasome inhibitors, monoclonal antibodies or after a stem cell transplant. Influenza and pneumococcal vaccines are also encouraged post-transplant and even during your regular treatment.

What Is a Mass Spectrometry Test?
Published on February 27, 2020 Key Takeaways A mass spectrometry test is a more precise way to look for serum protein then SPEP (serum protein electrophoresis) tests. With it, you can get down to 10-4, 10-5 in terms of sensitivity. Mass spectrometry tests also allow pathologists to more clearly discriminate between daratumumab and the original M-protein that’s found in blood.
How Does the TP53 Mutation Impact Prognosis in Myeloma?
