Below-normal temperature trend continues, but fire risk remains

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — High temperatures reached 104° so far today — noticeably cooler than Saturday’s 108° and a few degrees below the seasonal average of 107°. Overnight lows will fall into the upper 70s, making for a comfortable start to Monday. Afternoon highs Monday will climb to around 103°. Winds won’t be as strong as Sunday, but afternoon gusts in the Valley could still reach 15–20 mph. The below-normal temperature trend continues Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs staying in the low 100s.

Cooler Sunday, but Red Flag Warnings continue

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Red Flag Warnings remain in effect until 8 p.m. this evening and return on Sunday for much of Arizona, including northern and southeastern portions of the state. Southwest wind gusts of 30–50 mph combined with relative humidity as low as 5–15% will create critical fire weather conditions. Please avoid any activity that could create sparks or open flames. High temperatures have reached 108° so far this afternoon.

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect today and Thursday as First Alert Weather Days continue. Stay hydrated and limit prolonged outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day, especially from late morning through early evening. High temperatures are expected to reach 112° on Wednesday afternoon. A few isolated showers are possible in the higher terrain north and east of the Valley through this evening.
