Profane: Review: Issue 1
Written by Peter Milligan Illustrated by Raül Fernandez Coloured by Giada Marchiso Lettered by Jeff Eckleberry Published by Boom! Studios Will Profane is a private investigator with a good suit, sharp instincts and a hole in his memory you could drive a car through. He knows he’s working a case, he knows the last thing he was doing before the gap in his memory and he knows he has to keep going. Even if the truth will break him.
The Nasty: The Complete Series
This rollicking dark comedy from Lees (the Mountainhead series) and Cahoon brings Britain’s 1980s “video nasty” moral panic into the spotlight in a delightfully updated way. Shy Scottish teen Graeme “Thumper” Connell loves B-movie horror films so much that he seemingly conjures his favorite star, a masked slasher called Red Ennis, to be his imaginary friend.

'Absolution' TPB (review) - Forces of Geek
Written by Peter Milligan Art by Mike Deodato Jr. Published by AWA Studios Every so often, I note in my reviews when a graphic novel seems particularly cinematic. That is, it’s paced more like a movie and with visual angles akin to top notch cinematography. Absolution is yet another one of those books, and even if I hadn’t noticed it myself, I couldn’t miss the fake film posters that open every chapter.

Sneak Peek At ‘Nemesis Reloaded’ #2 And Word On A Sequel
It’s Friday, and that means another Mark Millar newsletter has dropped. And in his latest missive we get a first look at Nemesis: Reloaded #2 by artist Jorge Jiménez. Plus, early word from Millar that the first issue (reviewed here by yours truly) has sold out. Oh, and he casually drops the title of the sequel he’s begun work on too. That would be Nemesis: Triumphant. So, that doesn’t sound good for any do-gooders in the Millarverse who may be considering taking on this baddest of badasses.

10 Most Unexpected Celebrity Cameos In Comics
Celebrity cameos are common on TV shows, but many real-world stars have graced the pages of comics too. Some celebrity cameos make sense, whether because the star in question is a fan of the title, has some connection to the story, or has been added to the story to encourage readers to pick up the book. Nobody is surprised to see Stan Lee appear in the background of a Spider-Man story, or hear Deadpool make jokes about Ryan Reynolds.

Retro Review: Skreemer By Milligan, Ewins & Dillon For DC Comics
Skreemer #1-6 (May – October 1989) Written by Peter Milligan Artwork by Brett Ewins and Steve Dillon Coloured by Tom Ziuko Spoilers (from thirty-three years ago) I don’t know if it’s because of pandemic stress, a sense of disillusionment with the current comics market, or a combination of the two, but I’ve been scouring the fifty cent bins a lot more lately, and recently came across a full run of Skreemer, the late 80s dayglo ‘suggested for mature readers’ pre-Vertigo title by Peter Milligan,...

'Happy Hour #6' (review)
Written by Peter Milligan Art by Michael Montenat Published by Ahoy Comics This comic series is absolutely wonderful. The creative team has done an excellent job putting this together and it really pays off here. This issue is the culmination of everything that has come before and it is really just perfect. I enjoyed how it all comes together. Jerry and Kim have endured terrible punishments to get rid of the fake happiness that was put into them as this issue begins.

'Happy Hour #5' (review)
Written by Peter Milligan Art by Michael Montenat Published by Ahoy Comics This has been a very good limited series. The writing and the artwork have both been top notch. The two creators have come up with one hell of a world where it is against the law not to be happy. They take this concept and they run away with it to a place that I couldn’t have imagined. This is the penultimate issue of the series so a lot has been set up for the ending of this book.

'Happy Hour #4' (review)
Written by Peter Milligan Art by Michael Montenat Published by Ahoy Comics This issue is something else. I have to say that this has been an entertaining and smart series thus far. This issue really cements the book as being one of the best new series out there. It is quite affecting and it goes into some some dark places that I was not expecting. It certainly does not pull any punches. This book takes place in a near future America where sadness is illegal.
'Happy Hour #3' (review)
Written by Peter Milligan Art by Michael Montenat Published by Ahoy Comics This is another title coming out presently from Ahoy Comics that is well written and that also has a bit of social commentary in it. Peter Milligan has always been a great writer and he proves it again here with this book. This is definitely one of the most underrated comics coming out presently. In the future, unhappiness is a crime. This book follows two fugitives, Jerry and Kim, who are on the run from the law.
'Happy Hour #2' (review)
Written by Peter Milligan Art by Michael Montenat Published by Ahoy Comics Buy it Digitally from comiXology Ahoy Comics has done it again with this title. Peter Milligan has always been a strong writer and he knocks it out of park with his writing here. It is smart and funny and even a bit terrifying. This is a great book from start to finish. This book is about a future America where being happy is a law. It is a story about Kim and Jerry, who are on the run from the Joy Police.
