H-Bonding-Induced Repulsion Between Small Groups Toward a Highly Puckered Benzene
1 Introduction Since the discovery of benzene by Faraday two centuries ago, its functionalization has experienced rapid development [1-3]. Countless benzene derivatives have been synthesized and reported; their rich structural features and diverse physicochemical properties have established their irreplaceable status in chemistry and materials science [4-6]. Benzene rings generally adopt a planar geometry [7, 8].
Research on a production plan-driven multi-objective inventory-to-sales ratio optimization model for cigarettes
Abstract The cigarette industry faces persistent conflicts between rigid production quotas and volatile market demand, often resulting in suboptimal inventory structures and frequent stockouts or overstocking. To address this, we propose a production plan-driven multi-objective optimization model that explicitly integrates the inventory-to-sales ratio (ISR) as a feasibility constraint rather than an objective.
Metabolomics Based Biomarkers of Green Beans Intake
1 Introduction It is now well established that diet is a major modifiable risk factor for the development of several noncommunicable diseases [1-4]. Healthy dietary patterns such as the Mediterranean diet reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes (T2D) and cardiovascular disease (CVD) [4, 5], while the dietary approaches to stop hypertension (DASH) diet is associated with lower blood pressure [6, 7].

Vaginal microbiome and metabolome profiling identifies candidate signatures associated with persistent high-risk HPV infection
Abstract The role of vaginal microbiota dysbiosis in the progression of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is increasingly recognized. Yet, the factors determining why only a minority of infections persist and evolve into clinically significant disease remain poorly defined. From a large screening cohort of 4572 women, we rigorously selected 640 participants, categorizing them into HPV-negative, high-risk HPV, and low-risk HPV groups, with 70 high-risk individuals monitored over one year.

Prolactin increasing antipsychotics and reduced prostate cancer risk in cohort and nested case control studies
Abstract Prostate cancer is one of the most diagnosed cancers among men worldwide. Prolactin is a pituitary hormone that can influence androgen regulation, and antipsychotics that increase prolactin may suppress testosterone levels. Because lower free testosterone has been associated with lower prostate cancer risk, prolactin-increasing antipsychotics may have a potential protective effect. However, this association has not been well characterized in real-world comparative studies.
Association between the albumin–bilirubin score and gallstone prevalence: evidence from NHANES and an independent hospital-based cohort
Abstract Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the association between the albumin–bilirubin (ALBI) score and gallstone prevalence, and to develop machine-learning-based classification models for identifying participants with gallstones. Methods: Data from NHANES 2017–March 2020, including adults with complete albumin, bilirubin, and gallstone-status information, were analyzed.

Genomic landscape, clinical correlates and prognostic implications of U2AF1 mutation subtypes in myelodysplastic neoplasms Original
To the editor U2 small nuclear RNA auxiliary factor 1 (U2AF1) is one of the most frequently mutated genes in myelodysplastic neoplasms (MDS) [1, 2]. U2AF1 mutations predominantly occur at two hotspots (S34, Q157) within two zinc finger domains and disrupt pre-mRNA splicing by altering RNA binding specificity, with S34 and Q157 variants affecting nucleotide recognition at the −3 and +1 positions of the 3′ splice site, respectively [2,3,4].

Reverse Tesla valve modulated efficient water evaporation and cooling
Abstract Water evaporation, a physical process effectively driving natural hydrological cycles, has long suffered from rate limitations in industrial applications. Particularly in scenarios such as solar steam generation and evaporation cooling, the evaporation rate of conventional evaporators struggles to meet the practical request, due to the unresolved boundary layer resistance at the liquid-air interface.
Irritable bowel syndrome subtype predicts treatment response and defines distinct mechanistic phenotypes in OAB-IBS comorbidity: a prospective observational study.
To investigate the heterogeneity of treatment response in patients with concomitant Overactive Bladder (OAB) syndrome and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), including diarrhea-predominant (IBS-D), constipation-predominant (IBS-C), and mixed-type (IBS-M), by stratifying outcomes by both treatment strategy and IBS subtype. We hypothesized that IBS subtype would predict therapeutic response and define distinct mechanistic phenotypes.
Association of Weight-Adjusted-Waist Index With Brain Health: A 16-Year Population-Based Longitudinal Cohort Study
1 Introduction Brain health is defined as the preservation of optimal brain integrity and cognitive function in the absence of overt neurological disorders [1]. It can be influenced by a wide range of conditions, particularly obesity [2, 3]. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based neuroimaging features allow for the objective assessment of brain health [4, 5]. Over the past two decades, obesity has progressively emerged as a substantial contributor to the global burden of disease [6, 7].
Long Horizon: How Atlassian Built a Reasoning Engine for Complex AI Tasks
Last December, when the Rovo hybrid orchestrator was introduced, a hierarchical multi-agent system was introduced, where specialized subagents last introduced, one for Jira, one for Confluence, one for Slack, and so on — each handled their own domain. The hybrid orchestrator would decompose a user’s query, route subtasks to the right agent, and combine the results.

Nanozyme-engineered liners for proactive prevention of wear particle-induced osteolysis
Abstract Wear particle-induced osteolysis (WPO), primarily caused by particles generated from implants under mechanical loading, remains a major barrier to the long-term success of prosthetic implants. Traditional strategies to address WPO have largely focused on reducing wear generation, rather than mitigating the immunostimulatory effects elicited by wear particles.

Soft tactile chip with in-situ sensing for haptic rendering and reverse feedback enhanced gross to fine teleoperation
Abstract In-situ sensing of feedback actuator offers spatiotemporal consistency of tele-haptic interactions and self-monitoring haptic feedback. Leveraging haptic actuator for fine teleoperation is also worth for investigation. Here, we report a soft tactile chip made by in-situ fabrication of sensor in actuator structure, which is featured by both haptic and thermal sensing and feedback.

Akkermansia muciniphila drives viscero-visceral crosstalk via 5-HT 3a R-mediated sensitization of dichotomizing gut–bladder neurons
Abstract The comorbidity of overactive bladder (OAB) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) presents a major clinical challenge, with the underlying neural and microbial mechanisms of the gut–bladder axis poorly understood. Here we aimed to delineate the complete causal pathway from a specific gut microorganism to bladder dysfunction and validate it as a therapeutic target.

Therapeutic Targets for Pediatric Pulmonary Vein Stenosis: Insights from Animal Models
You are already at the latest version Pulmonary vein stenosis (PVS) is a rare and devastating condition affecting infants and children, characterized by progressive intimal hyperplasia, myofibroblast proliferation, and extracellular matrix deposition, leading to pulmonary hypertension and right heart failure. Despite multimodal interventions including surgery and catheter-based approaches, long-term outcomes remain poor due to high rates of restenosis and disease progression.

One‐Step Assembly of Homogeneous DAR4 ADCs via a Traceless Fc Ligand‐Directed Acylation Strategy
1 Introduction Antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) have emerged as a powerful class of targeted cancer therapeutics, often described as “biological missiles” [1, 2]. By linking a specific antibody to a potent cytotoxic payload via a chemical linker, ADCs aim to selectively deliver their cargo to cancer cells, thereby improving efficacy and reducing the systemic toxicity associated with traditional chemotherapy.
