1. Introduction Metal dampers, as one of the most widely used energy dissipation devices, dissipate seismic energy through their own plastic hysteretic deformation after yielding, acting as a “fuse” for structural safety under seismic loading. However, the metal materials used in metal dampers are predominantly steel, which is susceptible to corrosion in natural environments, particularly in harsh conditions involving high temperature, high humidity, and various corrosive pollutants.
