This morning alone we have Big Build corruption drama and a Moira Deeming soap opera, both of which bode terribly for the major parties, but very well for One Nation, which is now leading in the polls.

Jason Falinski’s latest “teal” hit piece was presumably supposed to be funny. The former Liberal MP’s take on Zali Steggall and Allegra Spender’s new party (“Teal party is an epic marketing snow job”) reads like it’s trying to be. But as with most things he writes about those who unseated him and other “moderate Liberals” in recent elections, it instead comes off as bitter, coloured by the fact one of them (Mackellar MP Sophie Scamps) robbed him of his rightful place in parliament.

Karl Stefanovic isn’t the only Australian over in London playing footsie with the far right. Several other Australian political figures were at Jordan Peterson’s Alliance for Responsible Citizenship conference last week, including Barnaby Joyce, Scott Morrison, Tony Abbott and Peta Credlin, to name but a few members of this nightmare blunt rotation.
