From initial complete response to recurrence: ENPP1 mutation drives cisplatin resistance through STING/NF-κB/IL-6 axis in hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma
Abstract Induction chemotherapy proves critical in hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (HPSCC). However, the mechanisms of acquired resistance to induction chemotherapy have not been fully elucidated yet. Nine patients with HPSCC who showed an initial response to IC followed by progression and had available paired paraffin-embedded tissue samples were retrospectively analysed.
Nano-thick freestanding and reusable epidermal electronics via edge-supporting strategy
Abstract Nano-thick epidermal electronics have extraordinary lightweight and conformability characteristics, thus enable high-quality signal acquisition and imperceptible wearing experience. However, reducing the device thickness to nanoscale makes the rigidity extremely low thus the device curls spontaneously, imposing unprecedented challenges to the device fabrication, handling and recycling.
Integrated polarization-entangled photon source for wavelength-multiplexed quantum networks
Abstract Entangled photons are fundamental resources for quantum communication, computing, and networking. Among them, polarization-entangled photon pairs play an important role due to their straightforward state manipulation and direct use in quantum key distribution, teleportation, and network protocols. However, realizing compact, efficient, and scalable polarization-entangled sources that meet the requirements of practical deployment remains a major challenge.
Validation and prognostic stratification limitations of the 8th AJCC ypTNM staging system in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma after neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy: A multicenter retrospective study
Abstract The 8th edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) ypTNM staging system serves as the basis for predicting treatment efficacy, issuing prognostic warnings, and guiding adjuvant therapy in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) who have received neoadjuvant chemotherapy or neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy.

Bipartite Consensus Control for Riemann-Liouville's Nonlinear Fractional Multi‐Agent Systems With Mixed Delays
Bipartite consensus control for Riemann–Liouville's nonlinear fractional multi-agent systems (RL-NFMASs) with distributed and input delays is investigated. First, a delayed control protocol is devised in this article by the local output information between agents, the feasible criterion for ensuring bipartite consensus is obtained in terms of signed graph theory, classical Lyapunov direct approach, and global attractiveness theory of Riemann–Liouville's fractional delayed systems.
Tumor-associated neutrophils and survival outcomes in colorectal cancer: a systematic review and multilevel meta-analysis
Abstract Objective: Tumor-associated neutrophils (TANs) are abundant in the colorectal cancer (CRC) microenvironment, but their prognostic relevance remains controversial. We conducted an updated systematic review and multilevel meta-analysis to evaluate associations between TAN infiltration in primary tumors and survival outcomes in CRC. Methods: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library were searched from inception to January 1, 2026.

Molecular impacts of Meier-Gorlin syndrome mutations on human origin licensing
INTRODUCTION Successful replication of genomic DNA relies on the coordinated assembly of DNA replication machineries at eukaryotic replication origins in a two-step initiation reaction. First, two copies of the heterohexameric MCM2-7 complex, the helicase motor, are loaded onto DNA as a head-to-head double hexamer (MCM-DH) (1-3).

Multiple mechanisms for licensing human replication origins - Nature
Abstract Loading of replicative helicases is obligatory for the assembly of DNA replication machineries. The eukaryotic MCM2–7 replicative helicase motor is deposited onto DNA by the origin recognition complex (ORC) and co-loader proteins as a head-to-head double hexamer to license replication origins. Although extensively studied in budding yeast1,2,3,4, the mechanisms of origin licensing in multicellular eukaryotes remain poorly defined.

Prediction and Interpretation of Residual Bearing Capacity of Cfst Columns under Impact Loads Based Interpretable Stacking Fusion Modeling
1. Introduction Concrete-filled Steel Tubular (CFST) columns have received extensive attention in the field of civil engineering in recent years [1,2,3] and have been widely applied in structures such as bridges, marine constructions, and mountain constructions. However, in practical engineering, structural elements may be subjected to various impact loads in addition to design loads [4,5,6], such as explosions, vehicle collisions, wave impacts, and rock fall impacts.
Tunable backbone-degradable robust tissue adhesives via in situ radical ring-opening polymerization - Nature Communications
Abstract Adhesives with both robust adhesion and tunable degradability are clinically and ecologically vital, but their fabrication remains a formidable challenge. Here we propose an in situ radical ring-opening polymerization (rROP) strategy to design a backbone-degradable robust adhesive (BDRA) in physiological environment.
Research Progress on Cu-15Ni-8Sn Alloys: The Effect of Microalloying and Heat Treatment on Microstructure and Properties
1. Introduction The Cu–15Ni–8Sn (C72900) alloy is a typical spinodal hardened copper alloy engineered for high strength, elasticity, and stress relaxation resistance. Compared with Cu-Be alloy, the comprehensive properties of Cu-15Ni-8Sn alloy are equal, and it has no toxicity during manufacturing and processing. In addition, the properties of Cu-15Ni-8Sn alloy are much better than those of Cu-Be alloy at high temperature.

Modeling HIV-1 nuclear entry with nucleoporin-gated DNA-origami channels - Nature Structural & Molecular Biology
Abstract Delivering the virus genome into the host nucleus through the nuclear pore complex (NPC) is pivotal in human immunodeficiency virus 1 (HIV-1) infection. The mechanism of this process remains mysterious owing to the NPC complexity and the labyrinth of molecular interactions involved. Here we built a suite of NPC mimics—DNA-origami-corralled nucleoporins with programmable arrangements—to model HIV-1 nuclear entry.

Observation of frequency-uncorrelated photon pairs generated by counter-propagating spontaneous parametric down-conversion
Abstract We report the generation of frequency-uncorrelated photon pairs from counter-propagating spontaneous parametric down-conversion in a periodically-poled KTP waveguide. The joint spectral intensity of photon pairs is characterized by measuring the corresponding stimulated process, namely, the difference frequency generation process.
