Local History Comes Alive at Antique Arms and Indian Artifacts Show in Brookville
BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Artifacts have always held a fascination for younger generations, and that curiosity brought hundreds of people to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds for the annual Antique Arms and Indian Artifacts Show on Saturday. Jefferson County Officials Mark Completion of Service Center Road Improvements
BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Work on Jefferson County’s only county-owned road has been completed. On Tuesday, Commissioner Jeff Pisarcik said the Service Center Road has been repaved thanks to a multimodal grant secured with the help of Sen. Dush (R-25) and Rep. Smith (R-66). Jess Seary, Director of Community Development, said the total cost of the project was $331,130, with $259,138 coming from a state Multimodal Transportation Fund Grant. The balance of $71,993 came from county Liquid Fuels funds.
Knox Dale Marks 55 Years of Firemen’s Homecoming Festivities
KNOX DALE, Pa. (EYT) — For four days every September, the small Knox Township community of Knox Dale comes alive with the sound of roaring engines and the crack of the bat. The 55th annual Knox Township Firemen’s Homecoming was held from Friday, Sept. 4, through Monday, Sept. 7. The events opened on Friday with a super Bingo at the Firemen’s Park. Saturday started with a homemade breakfast and the opening of the three-day softball tournament.
