Rhythm Paradise Groove Preview – The rhythm is gonna get you

I’ve never played the Rhythm Paradise games, let alone Rhythm Heaven, as they’re known in the US. Despite my love of the rhythm genre of games, I just wasn’t sure that a collection of rhythm challenges wouldn’t hold my attention without an overarching narrative or singular musical theme. Having now played a bunch of Rhythm Paradise Groove, I’m still not entirely sure if this hits the right notes with me.

Star Fox Preview – Returning to a galaxy fur, fur away

You could argue that if you’ve played one Star Fox game, then you’ve played them all. The original SNES game didn’t see its direct sequel release until it was included on the SNES Mini, and we instead had a reboot in the form of Star Fox 64 – that’s Lylat Wars to you and me – which was then remade for 3DS, rebooted for Wii U, and is now being remade again for Switch 2. Somehow, I’ve only ever played the SNES duo, so playing Star Fox on Switch 2 was a pretty new-feeling experience for me.

Bubsy 4D Review – Not entirely pawsitive

When you have a joke or meme character on your hands, you realistically only have two possible paths available to you. You can try to rehabilitate the image of said character, often to mixed results, or you can choose to lean into the ridiculous curve and mine the character for comedic potential, also with the same threat of mixed results. Anyway, here’s Bubsy 4D. Bubsy is back and just as irreverent as ever.
