Rochelle is co-editor of All about Skin: Short Fiction by Women of Color and a leading writer and scholar of Afro-Surrealist fiction. Her work appears in a variety of publications including Callaloo, So to Speak, Solstice, Mosaic, the African American Review, Poets and Writers, Cake Train, and Crab Creek Review. What was your first job as a journalist?

I interviewed Haitian filmmaker Raoul Peck about his film Lumumba, which was set to air on HBO.

No, but I'd like to.

For better or worse, news is more interactive now, more opinionated, and consumed and produced much more quickly.
