Detroit Tigers Still Have Time For Christmas Shopping
Trading for Devers, signing a pair of free agents could make the holiday season more jolly for Detroit Tigers' fans. With Christmas just a few days away, it’s time for the Detroit Tigers to get some last-minute shopping (and trading) done before Santa makes his rounds. The holiday season has been slim pickings for Detroit Tigers’ fans thus far with the signings of only starting pitchers Matt Boyd and Michael Lorenzen to point to.
Detroit Tigers' Fans Should Be 'Mad As Hell'
Detroit Tigers leader Scott Harris failed to sign a free agent during the Winter Meetings. “I want you to go to the window, open it, stick your head and yell: ‘I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore.’ ” Howard Beale, Network (1976) Detroit Tigers fans should follow Howard Beale's advice. Tigers’ fans are some of the best anywhere and have always supported the franchise, perhaps to a fault.
Detroit Tigers Should Target Brewers' Infielder Urias
Adding Quality Bats to Detroit's Lineup is the Tigers' Top Priority this Off-Season. Trading for Milwaukee's Luis Urias Could Help. But the chance to make a deal with the Brewers may not be completely gone. The Tigers would be smart to target Milwaukee’s Luis Urias in a trade. With Jeimer Candelario DFA’d, Detroit has a gaping hole in its infield.
Detroit Tigers Need a Clear Direction from New GM
Centered around starting pitching, former general manager Al Avila’s rebuilding plans flopped. His replacement must set a new course. Dear Miguel Cabrera, please retire from the Detroit Tigers
It may be tough to hear, but it’s time for Miguel Cabrera to call it a career The time has come for Miguel Cabrera to retire from the Detroit Tigers. Not at the end of the season, not after a month-long retirement tour to start 2023. Right now. It sounds harsh, and perhaps it is. But watching Cabrera flail around at the plate, seeming him reduced to a mere fraction of himself, well, it’s just painful.
