Democracy is about debate, discussion, and dissent. It does not depend on the reason of one person; it depends on collective wisdom, on people having a voice, and on those voices being heard, debated, and reconciled. When people vote, they are exercising that voice. When their elected representative enters Parliament, that responsibility does not end. In fact, it begins in a different form.

A leader with an understanding of economics can better appreciate fiscal constraints, public expenditure, and the long-term sustainability of welfare programmes. A leader who understands technology and data can see how digital systems, AI, and data-driven administration can improve everything from service delivery to urban planning. Public policy is about learning as a continuous process. Technology is constantly changing, economies are evolving and so are the challenges.

For over 22 years, my life has been a tapestry woven with threads of social activism, legal advocacy, and political responsibility. From the streets of Mumbai, where I worked through 'I Love Mumbai' and 'Giants International' to improve local lives, to the national stage as a voice for the Bharatiya Janata Party, my mission has remained constant: the empowerment of women.
