By Sylvio Martins Caya is a sushi and sake bar in Eagle Rock doing "upscale Japanese fusion." That translates to dishes like otoro nigiri with caviar and truffle, spicy tuna crispy rice with soy-garlic reduction, and udon carbonara with uni. There's also a big covered patio out front if you want to sit with a carafe of unfiltered sake and scallop handrolls. We haven't been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists.

We haven't been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists.

Known for its intensely smoky, concentrated consommé (which, as the name suggests, doubles as a hangover cure), Pa La Cruda serves mulitas and quesotacos, as well as dishes like sweet potato tamales with date mole and pipían chilaquiles.

How is social media changing news?

So much news, all the time, everywhere. So much news and, dare I say, "news."
