An associate professor of social science at New Mexico Tech, he has published two books with MIT Press: Technically Together and The Divide in addition to a number of academic and public facing articles.

Men’s Team One of the hardest tasks for a coach is season management. Players need enough playing experience in order to be ready for the competition, but not so much that fatigue and injury stands in the way of success.

NMT Rugby Heads to National Tournament

Jump to main content The NMT men's rugby team at home on April 4 during the High Peaks 7's Tournament. While it is nothing new for New Mexico Tech to have a team going to the Collegiate Rugby Sevens Championship, what is unprecedented is sending two of them. The men's side qualified at the NorCal 7’s qualifier on March 28, but the women’s team fell short against School of Mines at the High Peaks 7’s tournament in Greeley, CO.

NMT's Salinda Stallings was named "Back of the Match" on April 4 in Greeley, CO. The New Mexico Tech Women' s Rugby Team had their work cut out for them in Greeley on the Saturday before Easter. The High Peaks 7s tournament offered an automatic qualifying spot to the national championship playoff, but only to the overall winner. The only thing standing in their way was the top ranked team in the entire United States and the 2025 rugby 15’s champions: Colorado School of Mines.
