Titans rout Dolphins, 34-3, repeat as AFC South champs
The Tennessee Titans used their familiar recipe for success Sunday in downing the Miami Dolphins and claiming the AFC South crown in the process with the 34-3 victory. Tennessee’s defense flustered the Dolphins’ offense, holding them without a touchdown in the game, while the offense had a nice balance of run and pass, thanks to D’Onta Foreman’s 132 yards on the ground and Ryan Tannehill’s two touchdown passes.

(AP) — The Tennessee Titans returned from their much-needed bye week and got their first home shutout since 2000. On Sunday, the Titans bested AFC South rival Jacksonville 20-0 thanks to a defense that intercepted Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence four times. It was an about-face from the previous two games before the bye, when the Titans turned over the ball nine times with just one takeaway.

Titans Dream Season Ends with Loss to Chiefs
The dream ended one step short of the goal for the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Despite holding a 10-point lead on two different occasions in the first half, the Titans could not contain the high-powered Kansas City Chiefs offense and lost 35-24 in the AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs’ victory sends them to their first Super Bowl in 50 years, while the Titans ponder what might have been and head to the off-season.

Titans Upset Patriots in AFC Wild-Card Game
(Photo by Fred Kfoury III/Icon Sportswire) Earlier in the week, left tackle Taylor Lewan said the Tennessee Titans would have to pack their running game and their defense to take on the road with them if they wanted to defeat the New England Patriots. Saturday night, the Titans unpacked those elements in Gillette Stadium resulting in a stunning 20-13 AFC Wild-Card upset of the defending Super Bowl champion Patriots.
Titans Make Playoffs with Victory Over Texans
(Photo by Ken Murray/Icon Sportswire) The Tennessee Titans got what they came for and a lot more with Sunday’s 35-14 road victory over the Houston Texans. The Titans had a simple goal for Sunday. All they had to do was win and they would qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2017, as they needed no outside help to reach the postseason. Getting an assist from the Texans, who sat quarterback Deshaun Watson and receiver DeAndre Hopkins to rest for the postseason next week vs.
Titans Rally Past Old Nemesis Colts with 4th Quarter Explosion
(Photo by Zach Bolinger/Icon Sportswire) In a venue that has been a house of horrors in the past, the Tennessee Titans finally had answers and turned the tables on their old tormenters the Indianapolis Colts, rallying for a 31-17 victory Sunday. The victory lifts the Titans to 7-5 overall and puts them in control of their divisional fate with four games left this season, including two meetings with the Houston Texans in the season’s final three games.
Titans Rout Jacksonville Jaguars 42-17
The type of offensive explosion the Tennessee Titans couldn’t have dreamed about for most of the season arrived suddenly in the third quarter, scoring 28 points in just over eight minutes of game time in a 42-17 rout of the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The Titans, in a must-have game for their playoff hopes, responded in a big way with a strong offensive second-half following a solid defensive first half where the Titans held a 7-3 edge.
Titans Rally to Upset Chiefs
In an improbable finish, one of the most unlikely players on the Titans’ roster stepped up and save Sunday’s 35-32 comeback win over the Kansas City Chiefs, and perhaps saved the season in the process. Josh Kalu came off the left edge and blocked a 52-yard field goal try by Kansas City’s Harrison Butker that would have sent the game to overtime, just a few seconds after the Titans had taken the lead driving 61 yards on four plays in just 58 seconds.
Titans Escape with Win Over Bucs
For the second week in a row, the Tennessee Titans escaped with a win, overcoming questionable coaching calls, a sputtery offense that finally came through and getting four turnovers in besting the Tampa Bay Bucs, 27-23 Sunday. That win, which evens the Titans record at 4-4 this season, comes on the heels of a dramatic goal line stand last week in a win over the Chargers. The Titans created both some of their own luck and some of their own distress Sunday.
Titans Hold off Chargers with Goal Line Stand
The Tennessee Titans escaped with a 23-20 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers thanks to a goal-line stand that ended with fumble recovered by Jurrell Casey to end the game. That stand made a winner of Ryan Tannehill in his first career start as a Titan and got Coach Mike Vrabel off the hook for a questionable failed fourth-and-one call at midfield.
Titans Stun Falcons 24-10
(Photo by David John Griffin/Icon Sportswire) The Tennessee Titans got three first-half touchdown passes from Marcus Mariota and let their defense dominate the second half in Sunday’s 24-10 road win over the Atlanta Falcons. Mariota found rookie receiver A.J. Brown for a 55-yard scoring pass on the first play of Tennessee’s second series for a quick 7-0 lead.

Colts Hold Off Titans 19-17
The Tennessee Titans dinked and dunked their way to defeat Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. The Titans fell short, 19-17, against their old nemesis the Indianapolis Colts by struggling to get chunk plays offensively, playing miserably on third down and not being able to make key plays in the fourth quarter on either side of the ball to win it.
