Ever since I was little, I was always interested in all types of media. Music and movies were always my passion and writing about them has taken on a whole new life. I would normally get a special edition of Rolling Stone magazine and study it for days. Joni Mitchell wasn’t a fan of being pigeonholed every time she made a new record. The entire point of being an artist was to keep changing with the times, and every time Mitchell released a new record, her fans were seeing a different side of her than the mild-mannered guitarist who gave everyone ‘Both Sides Now’. She lived to move on to bigger and better things, and she was happy to leave some of the biggest genres of all time in the dust if it meant following her bliss on every record.

He didn’t like the idea of making the same kind of ho-hum songs every single time The Beach Boys made a new record, and even if Mike Love preferred to follow the formula every time they made something new, Wilson wasn’t going to be satisfied unless he was pushing the band into new territory.
