Another Casa Olé restaurant closes, another location set to move

The final Casa Olé location in Beaumont is still open, but the building has hit the real estate market and is currently for lease. The restaurant on the Eastex Freeway and Dowlen Road was opened by the late Beaumont businessman Tom Harken in 1981. An employee last Tuesday first told KFDM/Fox 4 that the restaurant will relocate next year to the current site occupied by Leslie's Pool Supplies in the Target shopping center on the same premises.

Damaged roads spark concern with Port Acres residents

PORT ACRES — Damaged and eroded streets in Port Acres are causing drivers to swerve and nearly hit mailboxes just to pass through safely. "You have Garnet, which is pretty bad," Tanya Mills, Port Acres resident said. "You might have drove down that way on your way in. 61st and then I know that 60th was been —I think it's 60th —that's pretty bad too. And they're doing construction on Jade." Tanya mills drives down Garnet on her way to and from work.
