What was your first job as a journalist?

I found my way into all this quite accidentally via blogging, though I had written freelance for quite a few years before that.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes. I typed up my first record reviews for now-defunct Australian Record Buyers Guide, which was based in Canberra.

How is social media changing news?

I've written about this extensively, including in my forthcoming book, The New Front Page. The biggest change is the rise of the audience.
