Netflix's Willy Wonka Reality Show Chews Up and Spits Out Everything the Beloved Film Holds Dear
Wonka's The Golden Ticket Netflix Come with me and you'll be in a world of total desecration (of a beloved story and film). Netflix's Wonka's The Golden Ticket — in addition to having a title that leaves a bad taste in your mouth — is the black licorice of confectionary competitions: the Smarties to The Great British Baking Show's SweeTARTS and the candy corn to Is It Cake?'s, I don't know, actual corn.

Regé-Jean Page and Halle Bailey, You, Me & Tuscany Giulia Parmigiani/Universal Pictures Peacock isn't exactly screaming "Look at me!" in August, with a very light new release schedule for both TV shows and movies. New Hulu TV Shows and Movies in August 2026
Homer Gere, Kaia Gerber, Igby Rigney, Hayes Warner, and Graham Campbell, The Shards FX Non-supernatural shows about young people mostly fall into two camps: witty, good-looking people hooking up and realizing that adulting is hard, or witty, good-looking people hooking up and running from psychopaths. In August, Hulu's release schedule has both of those.

The month kicks off with one of the streamer's biggest new releases of the year in Elle, a prequel to Reese Witherspoon's Legally Blonde that follows a young Elle Woods as she breaks boundaries by wearing pink in a 1990s Seattle high school (and doing all the other things that help people not judge a book by its cover).
The 25 Most Watched Netflix Series in the First Half of 2026, According to Netflix

And then what happens?

New Netflix Shows and Movies in July 2026
Jimmy Tatro and Will Ferrell, The Hawk The forecast for Netflix in July is a heat dome of new releases, starting with Will Ferrell's new comedy The Hawk, in which the Saturday Night Live veteran plays an aging golf pro trying to reignite his career in a last-ditch effort to complete the grand slam. If that sounds a little too city slicker-ish to you, Netflix also has a pair of pastoral programs to get you back in the saddle.

New Paramount+ Movies and TV Shows in June 2026
Devotion: Obedience or Betrayal Dutton Ranch launched in May as the biggest original series premiere ever on Paramount+, and Dutton Ranch will still be the biggest Paramount+ series in June. That's a roundabout way of saying that Paramount+ doesn't have a lot to offer in the way of new releases in the month, but streaming services are all looking rather barren at the start of the summer.
New Netflix Shows and Movies in June 2026
Brooke Elliott, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, and Heather Headley, Sweet Magnolias The June gloom has hit Netflix, as the world's largest manufacturer of streaming content (bleh!) is taking it rather easy with a light month. The New Shows of the 2026 Summer TV Season
1 of 31 HBO Max The beach? It's just a bunch of sand. Road trip? Gas prices. Visiting family? Too much family. Sitting in front of the TV? Now that sounds like a good vacation. New Peacock Movies and Shows in May 2026
Shannon Gisela, M.I.A. Peacock's biggest new release in May is M.I.A. That would be true even if M.I.A. weren't an actual show, because beyond the new crime thriller about a Miami woman on a quest for revenge against those who destroyed her family's drug business, any other new release worth watching appears to be missing in action. Peacock is extremely light in the month.
New Amazon Prime Video TV Shows and Movies in May 2026
Sienna Miller, Wendell Pierce, and John Krasinski, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War Aside from HBO Max and Netflix, consistency isn't a characteristic I'd use to describe other streamers. Rivals, an adaptation of Dame Jilly Cooper's Rutshire Chronicles and one of TV's horniest shows, returns with more 1980s business intrigue, bumping and grinding, and polo playing.
Fox Fall TV Shows 2026: The Complete Schedule
Josh Charles and Abigail Spencer, Best Medicine If you fell into a deep sleep and woke up a year from now, you would have little trouble navigating the network television schedules. Consistency is the theme of the 2026-2027 primetime TV season, with the big networks keeping things as unchanged as possible, and Fox is no exception.
NBC Fall TV Shows 2026: The Complete Schedule
Taylor Bloom, Kat Cunning, Tommy O'Brien, Hope Davis, and Peter Krause, Line of Fire NBC looks like it will top CBS in total viewers when the 2025-2026 television ends, the first time CBS hasn't finished in first since the 2007-2008 season. Though this is largely due to NBC's February in which the stars aligned — a wicked constellation made up of the Super Bowl, Winter Olympics, and NBA All-Star Game — NBC is hoping for a repeat in 2026-2027 and not changing its schedule much at all.

New Paramount+ Movies and TV Shows in April 2026
Cheech & Chong's Last Movie There's no way to sugarcoat it: Paramount+ is, for the most part, taking April off when it comes to interesting original programming. The biggest thing coming to the streamer in the month is the Masters, the world's biggest golf tournament that's already airing on CBS.
CBS Fall TV Shows 2026: The Complete Schedule
Allegra Edwards and Ed Weeks, and Parker Young, Eternally Yours CBS, the most traditional of all the major broadcast networks, broke tradition by announcing its fall schedule in April rather than the typical Upfronts period in May. Why? You'll have to ask CBS. But aside from bucking that trend, CBS's schedule for the 2026-2027 looks conventional, with its usual mix of familiar procedurals and long-running reality series.

Everything To Know About Paradise Season 3
Sterling K. Brown, Paradise Hulu's Paradise became one of TV's most addictive shows in its first season because of a kitchen-sink formula of emotional drama, apocalyptic thriller, and murder mystery, and Season 2 took it to another level by adding in some serious science fiction twists. Quantum AI computers and layers of multiverse madness, possibly!?!? Give it to us.
New Tubi Movies and Shows in April 2026
Lydia West and Nicola Coughlan, Big Mood As an ad-supported streaming service that relies mostly on licensed programming, Tubi doesn't have a lot of exclusive TV shows. But one (exclusive in the United States, at least) is coming this month in Season 2 of Big Mood, a comedy-drama from England's Channel 4. The show focuses on a pair of friends (Bridgerton's Nicola Coughlan and It's a Sin's Lydia West) whose friendship gets put to the test by boys, work, and mental health issues.

Nicole Kidman, Scarpetta Murder is on the menu in March for Prime Video. Three of the biggest new releases on Amazon's streaming service in the month involve smart people solving brutal killings, because that's what we love to watch while we are not being murdered in our living rooms. Two of these crime fighters — Sherlock Holmes and Kay Scarpetta — are fairly well known, while another duo — the mismatched detectives of Deadloch — deserves to be.
New Peacock Movies and Shows in March 2026
Ted Just accept it: A cute teddy bear with a Massachusetts accent smoking dope and talking about sex is what the people want. The New Shows of the 2026 Spring TV Season
1 of 32 HBO The spring season may not be well known as fertile ground for new shows you need to watch — traditionally, the fall season has been TV's time to self-promote — but the period from March to May is used to manipulate a very influential subset of people who can make or break a series' future: Emmy voters.
