Stephanie has been telling stories her whole life. Her interest in the written word started with short stories and journal entries about run-ins with classroom bullies and graduated to reporting on the dilemma of being a closeted teenager by the time she was in high school. Though print journalism is her first love, she has not limited her path to that one form of storytelling. The Nashville native has ventured into nonprofit communications, where she helped organize events and engage philanthropic souls via client stories for nonprofits, and podcasting, co-hosting a weekly podcast on black and pop culture.
She now balances her life as a mom with her hectic day job of creating and curating national, international and regional news for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She's served as sponsorship content coordinator and as a content manager for Cox Media Group, so she's not only sharpened her journalism chops but also her understanding of engagement and generating revenue for digital media.
Outside of what pays the bills, she stays busy managing social media and websites for Atlanta nonprofits, traveling, reading and karaoke.
