Park City High School no longer under lockdown after ‘false alarm’

Park City High School was under a brief lockdown at 11:42 a.m. on Thursday after the alert was “initiated by accident,” according to district officials. The incident was resolved by 11:44 a.m., and there was no threat to student or staff safety. “Although this was a false alarm, we are thankful for the quick response of our school community and deeply grateful to law enforcement for their swift, dedicated support,” the district said in a prepared statement.

Back in August, Recycle Utah held the 11th annual 100 Mile Meal, an event that brings in local meats, produce, and beverages sourced within a 100-mile radius. Food was sourced from 28 different farms and welcomed around 40 farmers. Not only was this a celebration of Recycle Utah, but the event also promoted the concept of eating locally. Conventional food often travels hundreds to thousands of miles just to get from the ground into your kitchen.
