CD97-directed CAR-T cells with enhanced persistence eradicate acute myeloid leukemia in diverse xenograft models
Keywords: acute myeloid leukemia CD97 chimeric antigen receptor immunotherapy exhaustion Introduction Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a prevalent acute leukemia in adults, characterized by the blocked differentiation and abnormal proliferation of immature myeloid cells, leading to hematopoietic disorder and life-threatening cytopenia. The incidence rate of AML tends to increase gradually with age, along with a decline in overall survival.
Spectral stripe-based large-range chromatic confocal displacement system with nanometer uncertainty
We present a novel, to the best of our knowledge, design of a chromatic confocal displacement system (CCDS) based on spectral stripe. In this system, confocal light collected by the dispersive lens is shaped by a Powell lens and then diffracted onto a detector in the form of a thin straight stripe. The displacement variant is converted into the change of stripe positions on the detector.
A Real‐Time Cell Death Self‐Reporting Theranostic Agent for Dynamic Optimization of Photodynamic Therapy
1 Introduction Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a promising cancer treatment modality that employs light-activated reactions to generate reactive oxygen species (ROS), inducing selective cell death with the aid of exogenous photosensitizers (PSs).[1-4] PDT offers significant advantages, including high spatial selectivity, minimally invasive nature, and negligible drug resistance, making it an attractive therapeutic option.[5-7] Conventional monitoring of PDT efficacy typically utilizes the...

DOA/CLK2 phosphorylates Fl(2)d/WTAP to enhance m6A mRNA methyltransferase complex activity
Abstract N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is the most abundant internal modification in messenger RNA (mRNA) providing an essential layer to the control of gene expression important to many biological processes. A megadalton writer complex deposits m6A methyl marks that are then read by YTH domain containing proteins. Deposition of m6A is thought to be regulated by cellular signalling but how remains uncertain.
An off-on fluorescent probe based on N,S-GQDs/CoOOH nanocomplexes for in vivo analysis of ascorbic acid
An off-on fluorescent probe based on N,S-GQDs/CoOOH nanocomplexes for in vivo analysis of ascorbic acid Detecting of ascorbate imbalances is crucial for timely disease diagnosis and sample monitoring across various conditions. In this study, we synthesized N, S-GQDs and employed the fluorescence quenching effect of CoOOH nanosheets through resonance energy transfer (FRET) to visually detect changes in ascorbate levels.

Catalytic Dual‐Mode Immunotherapy: Anisotropic AuPt Heterostructure Decorated with Starry Pt Nanoclusters for Robust Cancer Photometalloimmunotherapy
1 Introduction Phototherapy, encompassing photothermal therapy (PTT),[1] photodynamic therapy (PDT),[2] and photocatalytic therapy (PCT),[3] has emerged as a promising approach for precise tumor therapeutics, owing to its remarkable spatiotemporal controllability in a noninvasive manner.[4] Upon light activation, phototherapeutic agents can induce local heat and/or generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) within tumors, thereby triggering immunogenic cell death (ICD) and the release of...
METTL3-mediated m6A RNA methylation induces the differentiation of lung resident mesenchymal stem cells into myofibroblasts via the miR-21/PTEN pathway | Respiratory Research | Full Text
LR-MSCs were isolated from mouse lung tissue and showed long-spindle, helical, and radial morphological arrangements when cultured in vitro (Fig. 1A). After expansion, LR-MSCs in culture expressed typical mesenchymal cell surface markers (CD44, CD73, and CD90) and were negative for hematopoietic, endothelial, and monocyte markers (CD34, CD45, CD14, and CD19R) (Fig. 1B).
Numerical Investigations of Synthetic Jet Control Effects on Iced Airfoils
1. Introduction The ice problem is a critical component that limits the safe flight envelope of aircraft [1]. Ice accretion on lifting surfaces, such as wings and rotor blades, may occur when aircraft operate in icing conditions, and the aerodynamic shape can be degraded [2,3]. As a result, extensive research has been conducted in the field of aircraft anti/de-icing technology. The development of anti/de-icing techniques has made significant progress and includes chemical, thermal, mechanical, etc.

Introduction Peripheral nerve injury (PNI) is a ruptured injury to the axons or myelin sheaths of peripheral nerves, often resulting from direct mechanical trauma that can lead to sensory or motor dysfunction and a variety of complex lesions in innervated areas (Safa and Buncke, 2016; Fernandez et al., 2018).

Nitrogen and phosphorus co-doped carbon dots as a “turn-off-on” fluorescence probe for the detection of Hg2+ and GSH and cell imaging
Nitrogen and phosphorus co-doped carbon dots as a “turn-off-on” fluorescence probe for the detection of Hg2+ and GSH and cell imaging Nitrogen and phosphorus co-doped carbon dots (NPCDs) were synthesized by a microwave method, using citric acid monohydrate and diammonium hydrogen phosphate as the raw materials. The morphology, structures and elemental compositions of NPCDs were characterized by transmission electronic microscopy, x-ray diffractometry, and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.

Domains of health-related quality of life in age-related macular degeneration: a qualitative study in the Chinese cultural context
This is the first study to explore the influence of life experience and perception of Chinese patients on how age-related macular degeneration (AMD) has affected their health-related quality of life (HRQoL) by using qualitative methodology, and to identify whether the areas of concern and applicability addressed by patients are well covered by the existing HRQoL questionnaires.
