AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police are searching for a suspect who stabbed two people at Butler Metro Park in south Austin early Wednesday morning. Police initially responded to First Urgent Care at 2020 E. Riverside Dr. at around 2:19 a.m. Wednesday morning. A patient at the clinic called the police to report that he had been stabbed by a man with a knife at a city park earlier, and had been dropped off at the clinic with non-life-threatening injuries.

APD bans personal watercraft on Lake Austin over July 4 holiday weekend

AUSTIN, Texas — If you are planning on using a jet ski on Lake Austin this holiday weekend, think again. The Austin Police Department says their Lake Patrol Unit will be enforcing a ban on the use and operation of personal watercraft, wet bikes, motorized surfboards and other devices on Lake Austin. The ban will go into effect beginning at sunset on Friday, lasting through sunrise on Sunday.

AUS expecting over 35K departing passengers Thursday ahead of Fourth of July weekend

AUS says that over 35,000 passengers are expected to depart from the airport today. The airport says this will likely cause longer lines at TSA security checkpoints and airline ticket counters.
