MUSCATINE, Iowa (KWQC) - The fiancée of one of the six people killed in a shooting spree Monday is remembering a man who brought joy to everyone who knew him. Dakota Whitlow was shot and killed at D.W. Designs on Grandview Avenue, one of three locations where a gunman killed six people in what police call a domestic situation. The gunman later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Audrey Perdue and Dakota Whitlow’s relationship was always in the fast lane.

Muscatine, IA (KWQC) - Police say Ryan McFarland was responsible for killing six people between three locations on Monday. TV6 Investigates dug into his criminal charges and found several notable crimes. Police say 52-year-old Ryan Willis McFarland of Muscatine killed six family members before killing himself Monday just after noon. Iowa court records show McFarland pleaded guilty of child endangerment resulting in death in 2012.

ROCK ISLAND, Illinois (KWQC) -The Rock Island Arsenal has been the target of potential cuts for more than a year. This spring, the army eliminated about 175 positions which drew the ire of several lawmakers including Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth. She particularly took issue with the giving the workers between two and five days to decide to relocate to a different job in the army or lose their career altogether.
