Charge heterogenized PtFe clusters defy activity–selectivity trade-offs in propane dehydrogenation
Abstract Propane dehydrogenation is a pivotal industrial reaction, yet its efficiency is fundamentally constrained by the persistent scaling relation between propane activation and propylene desorption. Here, we transcend this compromise by deliberately constructing charge-state heterogeneity of silica-supported subnanometric PtFe clusters.
FATP5 loss in hepatocellular carcinoma cells orchestrates tumor-promoting microenvironment by inducing passive long-chain fatty acid accumulation within tumor-associated endothelial cells
|
Abstract Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is characterized by severe immunosuppression and metabolic reprogramming, yet the spatial dynamics of lipid flux between malignant and stromal cells remain poorly understood. Here, we identify a profound, type-specific metabolic rewiring in HCC driven by the widespread downregulation of fatty acid transport protein 5 (FATP5).

Carboxyl-directed, general α-site-selective deuteration of carboxylic acids by Pd 1 /CeO x single-atom catalyst
Abstract Carboxylic acids are ubiquitous structural motifs in bioactive molecules, making their site-selective deuteration a powerful tool for probing biochemical mechanisms and improving the pharmacokinetic properties of drug molecules. Late-stage H/D exchange offers superiority over de novo synthesis from deuterated precursors, but remains challenging.
Temperature drives microbial community shifts and methanogenic pathways in a carbon fiber fixed-bed reactor for anaerobic digestion
Abstract This study investigated the effects of temperature on microbial communities, key enzymes, and energy metabolism in carbon fiber fixed-bed anaerobic reactors under psychrophilic (15 °C), mesophilic (37 °C), and thermophilic (55 °C) conditions. Metagenomic and 16S rRNA gene sequencing revealed that methane content peaked at 80% under psychrophilic conditions, despite lower biogas production (7.5 L/d) compared to mesophilic (25 L/d) and thermophilic (30 L/d) regimes.
Genetic or pharmacological inhibition of hepatic TMEM141 attenuates MASH and fibrosis via the ROS-HNF4α signaling pathway
Abstract Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatoic liver disease (MASLD) and its advanced form, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), have become a global epidemic due to obesity and genetic susceptibility. Here, we report transmembrane protein 141 (TMEM141), a protein with a largely unknown function, as a key regulator of MASH and MASH-associated fibrosis. Hepatic TMEM141 is reduced in MASLD/MASH patients and mouse models of MASLD/MASH due to increased microRNA-149.

Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! 2,6-Naphthalenedicarboxylic acid (2,6-NDA) is a key monomer for high-performance poly(ethylene naphthalate) (PEN), which is currently produced industrially from petroleum resources via a complex six-step process.
Clinical characteristics and risk factors of severe myelosuppression in rheumatoid arthritis patients with csDMARD non-adherence: a case series
Abstract This study investigated the clinical characteristics and risk factors of bone marrow suppression in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients treated with conventional synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (csDMARDs) to provide evidence for improving medication safety. We retrospectively analyzed clinical data from 30 RA inpatients with csDMARDs-induced bone marrow suppression hospitalized at the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University between August 2022 and January 2025.

MOF(Fe)-derived composites as a unique nanoplatform for chemo-photodynamic tumor therapy Zhimin Mo, Xinyuan Pan, Xiaoli Pan, Lin Ye, Han Hu, Qi Xu, Xiaoxi Hu, Zushun Xu, Jie Xiong, Guangfu Liao and Sheng-li Yang Abstract Fe-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) can be used for chemodynamic therapy (CDT) for tumors due to their unique Fenton-like effects and porous and biodegradable natures. However, the therapeutic effects of using CDT alone are limited.
