A novel nomogram incorporating LASSO and Cox regression analyses for predicting survival in early-stage non-small cell lung cancer patients following sublobectomy
Background: Sublobectomy remains a key surgical approach for stage I non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients, yet prognostic tools for postoperative outcomes remain scarce. This study developed a nomogram to predict lung-cancer-specific survival (LCSS) following sublobectomy. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 8786 early-stage NSCLC patients who underwent sublobectomy between 2005 and 2018 from the SEER database, dividing them into training and validation cohorts.
Case Report: SAPHO syndrome mimicking osseous relapse after haploidentical allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for acute myeloid leukemia
Abstract Background: New bone pain and destructive skeletal lesions after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) raise concern for malignant relapse or infection. Synovitis, acne, pustulosis, hyperostosis, and osteitis (SAPHO) syndrome is an uncommon inflammatory disorder that may produce overlapping imaging findings. Case presentation: A 19-year-old man with acute myeloid leukemia underwent haploidentical allo-HSCT in second complete remission.
Mechanochemical Construction of Covalently Bonded PTO@COF Piezoelectric Heterojunctions for Ultrasensitive Adsorption-Catalysis in Wastewater Remediation
1 Introduction The increasing pollution of water resources by synthetic dyes has raised serious environmental concerns worldwide, particularly due to their high chemical stability, strong coloring capacity, and potential carcinogenicity. Among various industrial effluents, textile wastewater contains exceptionally high concentrations of cationic dyes (200–400 mg L−1), with global discharge exceeding 28 billion liters annually, posing significant threats to aquatic ecosystems and human health [1].
Ambient Mechanochemical Assembly of Chitosan-Supported COF Aerogels for Dual-Functional Oil/Water Separation and Dye Remediation Click to copy article link Article link copied!
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are predominantly limited to microcrystalline powders, which severely restricts their processability and recovery in continuous water treatment. Herein, we report a rapid (<60 min), solvent-minimized mechanochemical strategy to fabricate macroscopic chitosan-supported COF aerogels under ambient conditions.

Equatorward upper-ocean heat transport from the Southern Ocean boosted interglacial warming
Abstract The Mid-Brunhes Transition (MBT) signifies a pivotal shift in glacial–interglacial cycles with intensified interglacial warming, yet its underlying mechanisms remain elusive. Targeting the most sensitive component of oceanic heat uptake, the southern-sourced sub-surface waters, the post-MBT ocean heat dynamics are investigated using reconstructed deep and bottom thermocline temperatures from the Western Equatorial Pacific.
The relationship between work–family conflict and occupational burnout among nurses: the mediating role of career calling
Abstract Background: Occupational burnout has an important impact on the physical and mental health of nurses, stability of the nursing team, and patient safety. As significant contributors to the effective operation of medical and health institutions, clinical nurses experience high occupational burnout because of the comprehensive effects of many factors, such as family and work pressures.
The relationship between effort-reward imbalance and presenteeism among nurses: a cross-sectional study from China
Abstract Background: Currently, nurses are under great pressure and prone to the effort-reward imbalance and presenteeism, which hinders the development of medical health and has gained insufficient attention.
Development and validation of an immune-based nomogram model for predicting severe adenovirus pneumonia in hospitalized children
Abstract Background: Human adenovirus (HAdV) is a significant cause of severe pneumonia in children that often causes sequelae. Although immune disorders are known to be associated with disease progression, comprehensive immunological predictors have not been identified. The purpose of this study was to explore the ability of multiple immunological indicators to predict severe adenovirus pneumonia (SAP) and to develop an immune-based nomogram for the early prediction of SAP in children.

Investigating fear of cancer recurrence among female breast cancer survivors and their spouses in southwest China: a cross-sectional study
Discussion This study investigates the protective role of family resilience against spouses and survivors’ FCR. First, both breast cancer survivors and their spouses experienced high levels of FCR, consistent with the findings of Soriano et al25 and Muldbücker et al.26 Second, higher family resilience was associated with lower FCR, whether in a spouse or a breast cancer survivor. Finally, this relationship was partially mediated by perceived stress.
Neutrophil activation and clonal CAR-T re-expansion underpinning cytokine release syndrome during ciltacabtagene autoleucel therapy in multiple myeloma | Nature Communications
Abstract Cytokine release syndrome (CRS) is the most common complication of chimeric antigen receptor redirected T cells (CAR-T) therapy. CAR-T toxicity management has been greatly improved, but CRS remains a prime safety concern. Here we follow serum cytokine levels and circulating immune cell transcriptomes longitudinally in 26 relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma patients receiving the CAR-T product, ciltacabtagene autoleucel, to understand the immunological kinetics of CRS.

Understanding early horse transport in eastern Eurasia through analysis of equine dentition
Abstract Across Eurasia, horse transport transformed ancient societies. Although evidence for chariotry is well dated, the origins of horse riding are less clear. Techniques to distinguish chariotry from riding in archaeological samples rely on elements not typically recovered from many steppe contexts. Here, the authors examine horse remains of Mongolia's Deer Stone-Khirigsuur (DSK) Complex, comparing them with ancient and modern East Asian horses used for both types of transport.
