Cell Migration in Tissue Regeneration: Mechanisms, Models, and Therapeutic Opportunities
Submitted: 12 October 2026 You are already at the latest version Cell migration contributes to tissue homeostasis, repair, and regeneration by controlling the spatial organization of cells within tissues. Although extensively studied in development and wound healing, migration has received comparatively less attention than proliferation and differentiation in regenerative biology.
PARP10 condensation inhibits viral replication via targeting NAD + homeostasis
Abstract Although diphtheria toxin-like ADP-ribosyltransferases (ARTDs) are implicated in host-virus interactions, the specific antiviral mechanisms of certain family members remain largely undefined. Here, we reveal that mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase PARP10 restricts viral replication by forming biomolecular condensates via multivalent interactions among its structured domains.

Attenuation of Experimental Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia by Dimethyl Fumarate
Abstract Innovative therapies for bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) in neonates are needed. Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) is a methyl ester of fumaric acid that is an approved drug. The goal was to explore the role of DMF in BPD utilizing a hyperoxia-induced murine model of experimental BPD. In our mouse model of experimental moderate-BPD, DMF was administered on postnatal (PN) days 2 and 4. On PN14, we evaluated lung histology, lung morphometry, and used Western blotting.
Heart ventricle regeneration in the lizard Eublepharis macularius , the leopard gecko
Abstract Among mammals, injury to the heart typically results in scar formation and diminished cardiovascular function. In contrast, some teleost fish and salamanders can replace damaged heart tissue and restore overall function. For most species, however, less is known. Here, we investigate cardiac self-repair in an amniote capable of multi-tissue regeneration, the leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius).

CAR macrophages with built-In CD47 blocker combat tumor antigen heterogeneity and activate T cells via cross-presentation - Nature Communications
Abstract Macrophage-based cancer cellular therapy has gained substantial interest. However, the capability of engineered macrophages to target cancer heterogeneity and modulate adaptive immunity remains unclear. Here, exploiting the myeloid antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis biology and phagocytosis checkpoint blockade, we report the enhanced synthetic phagocytosis receptor (eSPR) that integrate FcRγ-driven phagocytic chimeric antigen receptors (CAR) with built-in secreted CD47 blockers.

Efficient and stable extraction of nano-sized plastic particles enabled by bio-inspired magnetic “robots” in water
Microplastics (MPs) as tiny plastic particles less than 5 mm in size, are mostly suspended in water bodies and affect ecosystems due to their strong hydrophobicity, mobility, high specific surface area and complex surface properties, constantly attracting pollutants and harmful microorganisms.
AI is a key weapon in money laundering battle
Key points AI-powered system combines robotic process automation and machine learning to detect suspicious transactions more effectively. The new system automates preliminary checks and can temporarily freeze high-risk accounts, while providing analysts with risk assessments and recommended actions. While banks report improved detection rates and fewer false positives, challenges remain around data quality and maintaining regulatory compliance through explainable AI.

Fasting alleviates metabolic alterations in mice with propionyl-CoA carboxylase deficiency due to Pcca mutation - Communications Biology
Abstract Propionic acidemia (PA), resulting from Pcca or Pccb gene mutations, impairs propionyl-CoA metabolism and induces metabolic alterations. While speculation exists that fasting might exacerbate metabolic crises in PA patients by accelerating the breakdown of odd-chain fatty acids and amino acids into propionyl-CoA, direct evidence is lacking. Our investigation into the metabolic effects of fasting in Pcca-/-(A138T) mice, a PA model, reveals surprising outcomes.

Synthesis of anatase-free nano-sized hierarchical TS-1 zeolite and its excellent catalytic performance in alkenes epoxidation
Nano-sized hierarchical titanosilicate TS-1 without extra-framework anatase TiO has been successfully synthesized by using Triton X-100 as mesoporous template under rotational crystallization conditions. The resultant material contains large external surface area and uniform mesopores (2-4 nm). Notably, the titanium ions are fully incorporated into framework of TS-1 and no extra anatase TiO2 exists.
