Drug Repurposing for Treating NCOR-Related Intellectual Disability
1 Introduction Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by a complex interplay of genetic and environmental factors. Approximately 30% of individuals with ASD have intellectual disability [1-3]. Rett syndrome (RTT) is the most debilitating form of ASD, caused by mutations [4, 5] or copy number changes [6-8] in the methyl-CpG-binding protein 2 (MECP2) gene, which plays essential roles in maintaining mature neuronal networks and proper brain functions [6, 9-11].
Virtual MR elastography and continuous-time random walk for predicting Ki-67 status in cervical cancer: a preliminary study
Abstract Background: This study aimed to evaluate the performance of virtual magnetic resonance elastography (vMRE) and continuous-time random walk (CTRW) models in predicting the Ki-67 status of cervical cancer (CC). Methods: A total of 85 CC patients were enrolled. Moreover, parameters derived from CTRW (β, α, and Dm) and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) were calculated and compared between higher- and lower-proliferative groups.

Reassessment-stage metabolic indices and subsequent cardiorenal outcomes in adults with diabetes: CHARLS and an independent hospital validation cohort
Abstract Background: Simple metabolic indices may capture residual cardiorenal risk beyond conventional glycemic markers, but their reassessment-stage value and external reproducibility remain unclear. We evaluated the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, metabolic score for insulin resistance (METS-IR), triglyceride total cholesterol body weight index (TCBI), and cholesterol-high-density-lipoprotein-glucose (CHG) index in relation to subsequent cardiorenal outcomes.
Comparative assessment of DeepSeek-R1 and GPT-4 for structured ultrasound reporting of adnexal masses
Abstract Objective: This study primarily evaluated the ability of two large language models (DeepSeek-R1 and GPT-4) to generate structured ultrasound reports from free-text adnexal mass reports. Secondarily, we assessed their accuracy in O-RADS classification and management recommendations, with an exploratory analysis of their performance in benign versus malignant discrimination.
A phase II peri-operative study of pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib for mucosal melanoma

LINC-AC092535.5 regulates MICAL2 mRNA level to inhibit p53-mediated ferroptosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Abstract Ferroptosis is a form of iron-dependent programmed cell death (PCD) that, once activated, inhibits tumor progression. However, the specific mechanisms influencing ferroptosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) are limited and warrant further investigation. This study proposes that MICAL2 not only influences the nuclear translocation of p53 but also facilitates the ubiquitination of p53 by recruiting the E3 ubiquitination ligase MDM2, leading to its degradation.
Progress in Uranium Extraction From Seawater: The Pivotal Role of Structure Engineering of Adsorbents
1 Introduction Amid escalating global energy demands and the pressing need for clean energy alternatives, nuclear power has emerged as a critical component of the energy matrix due to its high efficiency and low carbon emissions [1-4]. As the primary fuel for nuclear fission reactions, uranium has witnessed a dramatic increase in demand, correlating with the rapid expansion of nuclear energy infrastructure [5-8].

SCOIGET: Predicting Spatial Tumor Evolution Pattern by Inferring Spatial Copy Number Variation Distributions
Abstract Constructing a comprehensive spatiotemporal map of tumor heterogeneity is essential for understanding tumor evolution, with copy number variation (CNV) as a significant feature. Existing studies often rely on tools originally developed for single-cell data, which fail to utilize spatial information. Our study aims to develop a model that fully leverages spatial omics data to elucidate spatio-temporal changes in tumor evolution.
Coherent modulation imaging of high signal-to-noise ratio and high reconstruction speed
Coherent modulation imaging (CMI) has become an effective tool for simultaneously detecting the modulus and phase of complex light fields. However, previously reported CMI methods suffered from low signal-to-noise ratios (SNR) and low convergence speeds. In this study, we propose a modified CMI method with high SNR and fast reconstruction speed.
