We demonstrate that antiskyrmions can serve as magnetic quadrupole lenses that focus or defocus electric currents traversing them. We showcase the antiskyrmion core as a focal point where electron beams converge for specific injection directions, leading to anisotropic and nonuniform current distributions.
Protonated portlandite precursor unlocks enhanced nucleation and growth for cement hydration
Abstract Calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) and calcium hydroxide (CH, portlandite) are the dominant hydration products of Portland cement. However, the anisotropic layered CH and uncoordinated nucleation of C-S-H and CH severely restrict the macroscopic performance of cementitious materials. Here, we report a hydrogen-bond-regulated proton transfer strategy to mechanochemically synthesize a positively charged, isotropic disordered CH precursor (CHP_H+).
Deep learning for preoperative MRI-based endometrial cancer staging prediction
Abstract Endometrial carcinoma ranks among the most common malignancies of the female reproductive system. Accurate early-stage staging is essential for devising appropriate treatment plans and assessing patient prognosis.
Resetting of epigenetic cold memory through somatic embryogenesis in plant regeneration
Abstract Many plant species can propagate asexually or be regenerated in vitro; but asexual offspring are more likely to maintain environmentally induced epigenetic marks, for instance, inheritance of the prolonged cold-induced ‘vernalized state’ in overwintering plants through asexual reproduction. Here we demonstrate that ‘vernalized state’ is reprogrammed during Arabidopsis asexual propagation through somatic embryogenesis.
Cdk1-phosphorylated Nur77 accumulates at the centrosome during mitosis to regulate the Cep192–PLK1 signaling axis
Abstract The orphan nuclear receptor Nur77 is a multifunctional regulator involved in diverse cellular processes, including proliferation, survival, and apoptosis, through both transcription-dependent and -independent mechanisms. This regulatory complexity underscores the need for mechanistic studies in defined biological contexts. Here, we uncover a previously unrecognized non-genomic function of Nur77 at the centrosome that promotes mitotic progression in cancer cells.
Mitochondrial protein Mrpl13 regulates zebrafish liver development through the mTORC1-mitochondrial homeostasis pathway
Abstract The liver is the largest metabolic organ in the human body, performing functions as metabolism, secretion, immunity, and detoxification. Due to the high energy demand, liver cells are rich in mitochondria. Mitochondrial homeostasis is crucial for liver development and function, yet the molecular pathways linking mitochondrial dysfunction to liver defects remain incompletely understood.

Dissecting the genetic basis of climatic adaptation in wild relatives ( Malus baccata ) for climate-resilient apple breeding
INTRODUCTION Global environmental changes are intensifying, with rising temperatures, frequent flooding, and extreme weather events increasingly threatening biodiversity and global food security (Mace et al., 2008; Urban, 2015; Malanoski et al., 2024). Natural populations typically respond to shifting environments through migration, phenotypic plasticity, selection on standing genetic variation, or de novo mutations (Aitken et al., 2008; Fior et al., 2025).

Frontiers | Akkermansia muciniphila alleviates antibiotic- and LPS-induced oxidative stress via the p38α MAPK–Nrf2 signaling axis
1 Introduction According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 30–50% of all antibiotic prescriptions lack proper indication. Beyond fueling the pandemic of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), this misuse inflicts profound “collateral damage” by indiscriminately disrupting the gut microbiota, thereby initiating a detrimental cascade of intestinal mucosal oxidative stress (Reese et al., 2018).

Contrasting twisted bilayer graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides for fractional Chern insulators: An emergent gauge picture
The recent experimental discovery of the zero-field fractional Chern insulator (FCI) in twisted MoTe2 moiré superlattices has sparked immense interest in this exotic topological quantum state. The FCI has also been observed in previous experiments in magic angle twisted bilayer graphene (TBG) under a finite magnetic field of about 5 Tesla. Generally, the stabilization of FCI requires fine-tuning the topological band to satisfy certain conditions.

Universal intrinsic higher-rank spin tensor Hall effect
Abstract The spin Hall effect with nonzero transverse spin current but vanishing charge current has important applications in spintronics. Owing to the half-spin nature of electrons, the spin transport has hitherto been restricted to the rank-1 spin vector, whereas higher-rank spin tensors exist and play important roles in larger-spin (≥1) systems. For instance, there are five linearly independent rank-2 spin quadrupole tensors, characterizing the spin nematics, in a spin-1 system.
Presto for Big Data SQL: Challenges, Considerations, Cloud Solutions
SQL is the lingua franca for data practitioners and analysts. So even as newer data lake analytical data systems emerged, a SQL interface was a must. Meta (formerly Facebook) developed Hive to be a SQL interface on top of the first generation of data lakes built on Hadoop. But, Hive had its shortcomings. The nature of Hive was not conducive for human-scale interactivity needed for dashboards and ad hoc analysis.
Many-body dynamical delocalization in a kicked one-dimensional ultracold gas - Nature Physics
Abstract Contrary to a driven classical system that exhibits chaotic behaviour and diffusive energy growth, a kicked quantum system can exhibit the emergence of dynamical localization, which limits energy absorption and leads to the breakdown of ergodicity1,2,3,4. The evolution of dynamically localized states in the presence of many-body interactions has long remained an open question5,6,7.
Tuning moiré excitons and correlated electronic states through layer degree of freedom - Nature Communications
Abstract Moiré coupling in transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) superlattices introduces flat minibands that enable strong electronic correlation and fascinating correlated states, and it also modifies the strong Coulomb-interaction-driven excitons and gives rise to moiré excitons. Here, we introduce the layer degree of freedom to the WSe2/WS2 moiré superlattice by changing WSe2 from monolayer to bilayer and trilayer.
Massive Dirac fermions in moir\'e superlattices: A route towards topological flat minibands and correlated topological insulators
Abstract We demonstrate a generic mechanism to realize topological flat minibands by confining massive Dirac fermions in a periodic moiré potential, which can be achieved in a heterobilayer of transition metal dichalcogenides. We show that the topological phase can be protected by the symmetry of moiré potential and survive to arbitrarily large Dirac band gap. We take the MoTe2/WSe2 heterobilayer as an example and find that the topological phase can be driven by a vertical electric field.
