Published on Aug 2 · Submitted by Zhao on Aug 4 Abstract World Action Models (WAMs) couple action generation with prediction of future states. Their effectiveness depends on whether future dynamics are modeled in a space that is both aligned with action generation and sufficiently geometry-aware to capture where and how actions change the scene.
FLASH radiotherapy as an emerging paradigm in radioimmunotherapy: biological rationale, preclinical evidence, and translational roadmap
Abstract Ultra-high dose rate radiotherapy (FLASH-RT) has emerged as a promising technology in recent years. Unlike conventional radiotherapy (CONV-RT), FLASH-RT delivers radiation at an ultra-high dose rate over a very short duration. This approach not only greatly shortens the treatment time, but also exhibits the “FLASH effect”, which significantly spares healthy tissues while maintaining antitumor efficacy comparable to that of CONV-RT.
StereoLearn: An Online Platform for Learning and Automatic Grading of Organic Structure Representations Click to copy article link Article link copied!
The StereoLearn Web site is built to support learning through three primary modules: Learn, Practice, and Test. The Learn module provides an interactive repository of molecular models and diagrams, enabling users to explore the structures and concepts. The Practice and Test modules served as gateways for online assignments. 2.1. Design for Representational Competence Development Novice learners frequently struggle to perceive 2D diagrams as equivalent representations of the same 3D chiral molecule.

Introduction. Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major global health threat, and its control is hindered by prolonged treatment and increasing drug resistance. Helicase with zinc finger 2 (HELZ2) has recently been identified as an RNA-binding protein up-regulated after Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) infection, yet its functional contribution to host defence is not fully understood. Hypothesis/Gap Statement.
Vertical-flow tearable paper-tape rolls for scalable multiplexed point-of-care nucleic acid testing
Abstract Paper substrates, with their inherent capillary-driven forces, eliminate the need for external power sources typically required by microfluidic biochips. However, conventional lateral flow (LF) systems face limitations, including non-specific adsorption, uneven molecular distribution, and restricted flexibility for multiplexed detection. In this work, we developed a novel vertical-flow paper-tape (VFPT) integrated device.
Mechanisms of MCS Initiation and Maintenance During Extreme Rainstorm Events in Semi-Arid Regions: A Case Study of Qingyang
1 Introduction Heavy rainstorms are extremely hazardous, especially extreme rainstorms such as short-duration heavy precipitation which can cause significant damage to local people's lives and property safety.
Diversity and ecological potential of sediment viruses from Chinese continental shelf seas
Abstract Continental shelves are important areas for global biogeochemical cycling, yet the roles of sediment viruses in these areas remain poorly understood. Here, 48 surface sediment samples from the Chinese continental shelf were analyzed, and 12,540 viral operational taxonomic units (vOTUs) were identified. Taxonomic classification found that 93.6% of the vOTUs could not be assigned at the family level, and protein-sharing networks showed that 60.4% were singletons.

Obesity, Visceral Adipose Tissue, and Essential Hypertension: Evidence From a Mendelian Randomization Study and Mediation Analysis
1 Introduction Over the past few decades, obesity has become a global health problem with an increasing prevalence [1, 2]. Numerous studies have revealed that obesity is closely associated with increased risk of multiple chronic diseases and all-cause death, which has brought a huge burden for both society and individuals [3-5]. According to WHO, obesity is defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that presents a risk to health [6].

Comparative Transcriptomic Analysis of Embryonic Stem Cells (ESCs) across Mammalian Species
Abstract Pluripotency, the ability of cells to self-renew and differentiate into all the cell types in an animal's body, is vital for mammalian early development. This study presented a comprehensive comparative transcriptomic analysis of embryonic stem cells across multiple mammalian species, defining their progression through expanded/extended, naive, formative, and primed pluripotency states.

Two twinning operators when imposing nonlinear modulation in short‐time Fourier transform
Two types of short-time Fourier transforms involving respectively nonlinear modulation and nonlinear translation are designed in this note. Some important properties such as twin in time-frequency domain and orthogonality relations are investigated. Moreover, Lieb type inequalities and uncertainty principle are established.
Heat shock transcription factor 1 facilitates liver cancer progression by driving super‐enhancer‐mediated transcription of MYCN
1 INTRODUCTION Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly aggressive primary liver malignancy that is the second leading cause of cancer-related death, and its incidence is increasing worldwide.1-3 Medical technologies, such as surgical resection, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and the emerging modality of immunotherapy, have advanced over the past decades.4-6 However, success in improving the survival rates of HCC patients remains limited.

Early to Middle Pleistocene transition shapes the evolution of human-specific mutations associated with height and basal metabolic rate
Abstract Understanding the genetic basis of modern-human-specific traits is essential for elucidating the formation of anatomically modern humans (AMHs). Here, we studied the genetic underpinnings of height and basal metabolic rate (BMR), which have undergone extensive modifications in AMHs compared to other Homo species and apes. The results revealed a significant genetic correlation between the two traits.
